Mcfly 08-25-2001, 03:44 PM Sorry, Wymard, as far as I know everything was done on a soundstage at ABC television in LA. The whole outside of the house was never shown, just their front porch. But, I agree, it would be great to be able to go see it somewhere. It was one of the more interesting sitcom houses, with that third floor that lead to the parents bedroom. Plus several different entrances to the house: two from the back porch, one in the kitchen, and the front door. NJ Guest 08-29-2001, 11:24 AM Hey, I used to live in Penn Hills, off of Saltzburg Rd. My cousin Billy is the mayor. His daughter's wedding in October should be faboo. Anyway, the Owens family actually lived in Beaver Falls, PA, not in Picksburgh. But Pittsburgh and Altoona were often mentioned. I believe Kevin also went to one of the institutes of higher learning in the big city, although I don't think it was ever mentioned by name, of course. George also worked in the big city at one of the not-named TV stations. I loved the episode where they made an all night run (with Robert Goulet of course) to my current homestate for some scenes in Atlantic City. theshark8777 08-29-2001, 11:43 AM Beaver Falls is such a cool name. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/grineyes.gif jehobden 01-06-2002, 02:14 AM Actually, Kevin attended the University of Pittsburgh, aka Pitt. In one ep, he'd actually wanted to attend Miami (Fla.), but Belvedere convinced him to stay near home. |
