I think that high school is much better than middle school. In high school ou get a lot more freedom and you can be on sports teams for your school. I made a lot more friends in high school but I pretty much know almost everyone in my grade and have talked to them atleast once so. But high school is much better. People dont really care about anything anymore where I go. Like, they dont really make fun of how you would happen to dress or how bad you hair could look one day. So high school is cooler than middle school. And you can eat and chew gum and drink in the classes in high school-in my middle school we couldnt do that.

middle school..I guess, but I never really had a problem with it, I mean I didnt try bc I knew that it was good for anything and I had a great time, but in high school I can drive (as of thursday) and have much more freedom and playing on sports teams and such

middle school- even though the work was easy, everyone was so cliquey (girls are so cruel to each other) and, like you said, no ones really found themselves yet.

To begin with, both my middle school and current high school teachers are all a-holes and let me add that I hate both schools with all my heart. Now that that has been said, into the details, lol.

Middle school was more cheerful, I had many more laughs and a few close friends. However, these close friends weren't always too nice. No one was nice in middle school, in fact. Everyone I knew just annoyed me, but I always went along with everything.. even today. :faint:
My teacher were all dopes. They couldn't teach for anything and I don't think I've learned much from the two years I spent at the school.

In high school, I know countless number of people, none of which are really close. It's just like "Hey, Joe, bye Joe" and "Hey Bob, bye Bob," if you get what I'm saying. I can never carry on a real conversation with anyone.
The work's harder and stress is definitley playing a role. My teachers are generally nice, however, they're inconsiderate, give too much work, and are harsh graders.

I don't know. I think middle school and high school are both 'worse' so it's hard to say...

High school. I agree with the comments that middle-school kids can be cruel and cliquey, but high school kids are just like that if not worse. Plus, by high school you cease to have real friends, just acquaintances - either your friends grow up too fast or too slow, or they get involved with work and activities and you hardly see them. The teachers are one of the worst parts of it. I know they're helping us grow up by not holding our hands every step of the way, but couldn't they care about their students even a little bit? Most of my teachers care only about themselves and how good they are at teaching.
As you can tell, I do not like high school at all.

Middle School is worse. I like high school, it's so much cooler and more stuff going on in high school. I didnt like middle school actually. I was actually sort of mean and exclusionary in Middle school especially Seventh lol..... I liked 8th grade a lot, everyoen was friendly in 8th. but 6th and 7th especially 7th sucked.

Highschool SUCKED for me as did Middle school i think the best years I had was in College in College no one cared about how You looked or How you dressed or even who you hung out with it was all according to how much work you did and stuff IN FACT I found it funny because the people who were Nerds in highschool (such as myself) were popular in college and the people who were Popular in Highschool were considered Nerds in college strictly because they would rather go out and party rather then do thier school work

I wasn't really fond of either one. Middle school was filled with people that were so full of it. The people that were full of it, finally grew up in hs. Still you had some people that were full of it in hs, too.

Middle school was just hell. I thought I had really good friends during those years, but it turns out they weren't that great. Classes also sucked during those years.

High school was a lot better, but I still hated school. I found much better friends and was comfortable with them. Classes were a bit better. They should've had more class options, though. From 9th to 12th grade, I can't tell you how many computer classes I had. Towards the end of 12th grade, one of my computer teachers told me that I was prob. the only person that had so many computer classes. I really liked the teachers that teached the computer courses. I really wished they had more writing courses. Yeah, I took standard English courses, but I wanted more writing courses. I finally ended up in Writer's Workshop during 12th grade and I absolutely loved the course and the teacher.

I'd say why I hated hs was because I was just ready to get out. It's funny in a way, when you're going through hs, you think you'll never graduate. Each day gets slower and slower. When you actually graduate, it makes you sit back and think about how fast the years went. I'm not bsing here. It really goes by fast.

High School. When your a freshman, some seniors can be so cruel! But, then again, some of them can be nice too...

Middle school was harder for me for many of the reasons you guys stated. I didn't have much trouble in High School.

High school, but then again the whole school experience sucked for me. I was a lot smarter before I started to go to school.

Both were pure Hell for me. Elementary school wasn't too fun for me wither. I think the only good years I had were kindergarten through 3rd grade.

High school. There's too much work. There's too much pressure to take the "perfect" classes and get the "perfect" grades for college. And the SATs and picking a college, and scholarships and everything...

This could be just at your school, but at the hs I went to, they didn't allow the putting on makeup in class or wearing skimpy clothes. The dress code was a real pain in the ass at my school. I'm not much of a skimpy clothes person, but they just had some crazy dress code rules at my school. Hope your school is better though.

Middle school and by far. The middle schoolers at my school are so immature it's pathetic. They chase each other around, are loud, get sent out of class a lot and they get more school community service than the rest of the school combined. Another reason is because I had a rough time in my middle school years (particularly in 7th grade) but it was more of the teachers fault than the kids.

When you become an upperclassmen, you'll know why.

Middle school sucked. Seriously, its one of those things that you look back upon and get sick about. High school was the greatest thing I ever did-there are so many memories Ill never forget. Who cares about harder work?! Obviously... I wouldnt want to be doing 7th grade work when Im 18 years old! I wish I could go back in time for just an hour- I dont think Ill ever have as much fun in my life than I did from 99-02.

Overall, Middle School (we used to call it "Junior High"). It's close, though.
High School...
Advantages- 1. More freedom (as was mentioned)- we could leave the campus during lunch. I used to go to a Target-like store called "The Treasury." 2. Can hang around in the parking lot, look at the cars (since some students had cars).
Disadvantages-1. More worries about grades. 2. Classes generally harder. 3. Must prepare for post-graduation. 4. Had to do those one-mile runs in P.E. class (my time was 7 min., 31 secs.).

Middle School...
Advantages- 1. Classes generally eaiser. 2. Don't have to be concerned about post-graduation (because you knew High School was next). 3. For me, P.E./Gym class (or whatever it's called today) was a little more enjoyable.
Disadvantages- 1. Can't leave campus during lunch. 2. Knowing there was still about 3-6 years of more school (depending on what grade you are in). 3. P.E. class again- had to wear the school shorts outside in 40 degree weather.

For me it was Middle school. Like everyone said everyone was really immature, and treated everyone poorly. I loved high school, i went to a small town high school, so everyone knew everyone. It was hard to skip though because my mom had her friends on the look out for me. LOL. Ahh the good old days.
