View Full Version : The Two-Part "Cliffhanger"....So How Was It?
pilotguy 05-04-2003, 10:38 AM I really tried to tape it, but things got really messed up, between my VCR timer and the cable system.
To make a long story short, I missed out on BOTH of those 2:30 AM "Wings" showings....which I understand were made up of the two-part cliffhanger story where the Sandpiper's engine goes out and the plane makes a forced landing.
So how WAS this two-parter? Hopefully I'll be able to catch it when it's shown on the next "rerun cycle"....if "Wings" is even ON Nick-At-Nite by then!
Oh well, at least tonight we get back to the usual "One episode at 1 AM" routine!
mrsthomashadenchurch 05-04-2003, 12:45 PM I was disappointed because the schedule said that it was going to show 2 episodes. It only showed one. The 2nd part of the 2 parter.
Krista2882 05-04-2003, 01:27 PM yeah, i just realized that they showed the first part of the 2-parter the night before!! rrrr. i didn't know it was gonna be on at 2:30 am, so i didn't tape it. I taped it last night (er, this morning) at 2:30, which I just realized a few minutes ago, is the second part of a 2-parter that i don't have the first part to on tape, nor have i ever seen it before!!
Nick at Nite is annoying.
I'm trying to get all the episodes on tape in order, and they've been skipping episodes, and then putting on episodes at 2:30 AM without telling anyone. rrrrr
I wish they'd release Wings on DVD!!!!!!!

Adamantium 05-04-2003, 02:01 PM I thought the first part was funny when the plane is ready to go down, and Roy's all panicked. Then he looks up at Fay, and she's all calm and with a smile on her face. That set Roy off. It must have been terrible having to wait all summer for the next episode. I liked the second part too. Although I missed both of them on N@N, I have seen them before. It's like the first ten minutes the gang is on the lifeboat, and Lowell's convinced it's all part of a dream. Then when they get back to the airport, Joe's all upset and ready to give up the business.
Krista2882 05-04-2003, 02:16 PM the only part of the second part that I saw was the very end when the plane is in the hanger, all muddy and stuff, and Joe yells, "MY PLANE!!!" and gives it a huge kiss, and then throws his arms around it goes, "MY BABY!" and Helen's just like, "uh, Joe?" hehehehe.
but yeah, I just saw that part because I was checking my tape this morning to see if there really was an episode on at 2:30 that I taped. I'm going to watch it tonight.
c5guy 05-04-2003, 03:20 PM Some funny lines from part 1:
Brian to Joe: "Apparently you don't know how the 'needling process' works. If you don't act bothered, it's no fun for us!"
Lowell to Fay: "I like watching strippers.....even if they are my cousins."
Chocoholic 05-04-2003, 03:33 PM I thought it was funny too. I missed the first part (Damn N@N! ) but I've seen it before. I loved Lowell's dreams and Joe going crazy and Joe and Antonio in the office. Great episode! I give it 10 out of 10 stars.

c5guy 05-04-2003, 05:01 PM My mistake! You're right.......I should have said from "Friday night" (which aired 2 episodes), rather than "Part 1". Sorry
My first quote was from the first episode they showed that night which was Joe's pitching record being broken. Brian & Helen were giving him a hard time about it.
The second episode they showed that night was the Part 1, which is where the second quote came from. Hey, I told you guys I stayed up and watched it live.............it was all a blur that late!
Krista2882 05-04-2003, 05:05 PM hehehe ok! yeah! now i remember that it was from that episode! (the 1:00 one)
ok. so i'm not going crazy
hehe
AgtSkye 05-05-2003, 05:33 AM I like in the beginning of the second part when Lowell is halucinating that they're in the airport...looking up into the bright lights, and says, "Am I dying and passing over to the other side?"...just the way he says that one part is sooo funny. And the first one was the one I nearly missed the other night. I hadn't paid too close of attention to the schedule that was posted here. I looked at the sched at 2:15am, saw it, and nearly freaked. Luckily had the tape ready to go. :)
