Could you just see Lucille Ball as a character on the "Golden Girls"? I mean she could of did that instead of "Life With Lucy"

I can easily see her as Dorothy, probably because she had a manly voice like Bea Arthur.

Well, the two of them used to have dinner together. They did Password together. The next step should have been for them to do The Golden Girls together. Yeah, I can see it. "Oh shut up, Rose!" Actually, I have heard stories that there was some discussion about having Lucille Ball on the show in a guest spot or a recurring role, but for some reason it never happened. Maybe because she died.

Lucille Ball and Bea Arthur both appeared in "Mame", so they somewhat of a backround of each other, I think if they had got together again, maybe Lucille Ball could have appeared on The Golden Girls.

I could see her as one of The Golden Girls, I think that she would have fit perfectly into that show. I think she should have made a few guest appearences on The Golden Girls, I think it would have been hilarious, I can just imagine herself on the show including her crazy brain-haired schemes, and some of her physical comedy with the other girls, LOL.

No, i saw her as the Rose character, and Betty as the tramp that Rue played, i blame Gary again for probably not telling her when they were casting the darn thing, she would have been terrific in it for years before she died, it might even have helped her live a little longer too!

:talk: Where did you get those Stooges icons? That's great! And yes, Gary was a stooge. But I still think Lucy was a tough person to be married to.

Yeah, I agree. I think Desi's death and the failure of LWL put her into a depression that led to her death. 18 months after LWL she suffered a serious stroke. Less than a year after that she was dead.

Well, you dun't have to be a peepsachiatrist to figure that one out, she lived to work and when that was taken away, she was a gonner. And Gary got his big final payoff for engeneering that whole disaster, and she saw her first terrible reviews and the first really bad ratings of her life, the woman never thought she was it, and then she reads that The Queen is Dead as some newspapers cheerfully put it, no wonder she let herself go!
