I was watching one of the games tonight, I believe it was the Hornets/Sixers game, and in the first quarter, I thought I heard one of the commentators being coached, and told what to say. Was I imagining this? I heard a guy whispering something, and then suddenly the commentator would say the exact same thing that the guy whispered to him. After a commercial break the problem was corrected though. Did any of you guys notice this? I always thought what the commentators said was ad libbed, but after tonight, I'm not so sure. Do you guys think the commentators are being told what to say?

I doubt it if they're being told what to say. Only commentators i like is Tom Tolbert, Sean Elliott, Mike Fratello, Jeff Van Gundy, Danny Ainge, John Thompson. Dan Majerle a former Phoenix Suns star has been doing some NBA games lately. He did a couple games of the Suns & Spurs series. Bill Walton criticizes people too much & he acts like he was a very good basketball player when he was playing. He had a few good seasons for Portland in his day & when he went to Boston, he wasn't all that great.
