I've noticed that Brian calls Helen "Kid" quite a bit. I think its an endearing nickname. Helen seems to have an younger sister/older brother relationship with both Joe and Brian. But my question is, is Helen actually younger than Brian? Or does he just call her that to be affectionate?

I think they said once that Helen was 10 and Joe was 12 when they met, making Brian and Helen about the same age.

I think the only actual birthdate we got was Roy's: February 29th, 1948. He'll be 14 next year :lol:

That's a good question. I always figured that Joe and Helen were in the same grade and Brian was about 2 or 3 years younger then them.

I remember in one episode Helen was explaining to Joe why their breakup was so hard on her because she always turned to Joe when something bad happened to her, and she related a story how Joe walked her home from a High School Dance after another boy had been mean to her. So I just figured that meant they were in the same grade together. So I think Brian just uses the term to be affectionate.

I'm pretty sure Joe is a couple of years older than Helen. It was probably a schoolwide dance.
