Because they didn't write it that way ;)

In my opinion, Fonz was like an older brother to Joanie, and they were just really close in a friendship way :) There are a lot of fanfics where Joanie and Fonzie fall in love though  I think it's great in fanfics, but I'm glad on the show, Joanie fell in love with Chachi :D

I agree with you BlueEyes, Fonzie and Joanie had a brother-sister kind of relationship. I also like it that Joanie and Chachi feel in love, and I also like that Fonzie fell in love with Ashley, despite they broke up.

Never happened because everyone was too wrapped up in the whole Joanie and Chachi thing to consider anything else. In my opinion they would of made a great couple! Just around the time when she came back from Chicago and had broken up with Chachi, it would of been great to have her and Fonzie hook up - you know he's alone and she's alone and perhaps there could of have been something there.

But it never happened :(

I wrote various fanfics on fanfiction.net about Joanie and Fonzie. Check them out!

One is call "Taking Flight" and the sequel is "Oh, What A Night!"

Yeah, that basically sums up how I feel about the matter. Joanie & Fonzie always seemed like brother & sister to me personally, but there are good fanfic opportunities in the possibility. :)

I, as you all know, love the whole Joanie/Fonzie thing. It makes great fanfic material. But given the big age difference (I'm guessing close to 10 years at least) I think it would've been a bit too "taboo" for the lighthearted feel of the show. Also, I doubt the typical viewer would've liked it. I mean, I'm the last person to be opposed to relationships with big age differences, so I would be all for it, but I suppose Chachi was more of an appropriate choice.

I have to admit though, whenever I see "Sweet Sixteen" and Mrs. C says to Fonzie, "I wish Joanie would date someone like you...or Bob Hope", I can't help but smile. Oh, Mrs. C, if only you knew. ;)

Excuse me but I like too much torque Joanie and Chachi to think of a report FOnzie-Joanie.

and I HATED the fanfiction where Joanie divorced from marry fonzie, as you can imagine that a pair as Joanie and Chachi can be separated after the final episode beautiful? Joanie then get with Fonzie.

TOO SAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry but the mere thought makes me angry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This reminds me in that rare clip where Fonzie and Mrs. C were making out, like non-stop too in the living room  . The rest of the family never even noticed and it was played out as nothing. Joanie was like a little sister, or could be typified as a niece even. Point being, it would never happen. Although it would of been interesting to say the least ;).

I totally agree. It would of been too taboo for such a light audience, even if it was portrayed and taken in through a comedic view, as far as if they ever had a relationship.

we say that an episode in which Joanie falls in love Di Fonzo but then everything ends there, in the end, to marry me Joanie Chachi.

we see that an episode like "They call it love Pots" but then everything ends there.

Joanie in the end it makes with Arcola
