I've been a loyal fan of Wings since the very beginning going way back to 1990 when the show premiered, but maybe some of you fellow Wings fans can answer this for me.

Was their ever an episode that explained how Helen became the manager of the lunch counter? I know she was childhood friends of Joe and Brian, but how did she get that job? Did they ever explain it in any episode?

I always liked the episode they showed last night where they explained how Faye and Joe met and how Faye got the job, but I don't remember if there was ever an explanation of how Helen got the job at the lunch counter.

IIRC, she mentioned a couple of times that her parents owned the lunch counter and left it to her when they retired.
