I just loved this show. It showed a slice of America in the 1950's (this was not reality tv) it was entertainment and very wholesome! Nothing at all wrong with this, many people over analyzie it and come to the conclusion that it was white washed but I would beg to differ. The Andersons were a family unit that worked together. Father did not always know best and it was obvious, anyone who reads anything into the title is not or has not really watched the show enough to see that it could have just as easily been called father does not always know best. Robert Young and Jane Wyatt we superb actors and will always be remembered for their roles in this show, as well they should be. They gave so much of them selves and it shows some 50 years later ! All the cast did. I watch these shows today many for the first time and am delighted each time. The shows stand up even in todays world. The lessons they taught are still very timely and much can still be gained for seeing them. It is such a service that these fine actors have given us for posterity. I hope each one of them knows that this contribution will always be remembered and appriciated buy so many. It is a shame that we don't see them more today. It this society we should charish those who have given so much. - I salute you all and would say thank you for all you have given and will contine to give to the many people who meet the Andersons for the time through T.V. Land or who ever is lucky enough to aquire the rights to show the TV shows. To all of you THANKS FROM A MOST GRATFUL AND APPRICIATIVE SHOW!
