I'm the best Brother in the world.

Today is my Sister's birthday. While I was out running a few errands this morning, I stopped off at a convenience store and picked up a few scratch off lottery cards to put in her Birthday card.

Wouldn't you know it, she wins a thousand bucks.

Of course it would have been nice if I had won it, but I'm still happy for her.

I think I'll head for Atlantic City tonight and see if I'm still lucky...

Wow that's a lot of money. The most we ever won in lottery was $10.00.

Im thinking that maybe we could trade. I could have you for a brother, TJL, and your sister can have mine. Deal? lol

Well, maybe she'll buy you a little something with her winnings.

Nice one TJL - I wouldn't mind someone winning 500 quid for me on my birthday! :D
You're a decent guy. If I'd bought a lottery ticket for someone else that ended up winning them £500, I'd be kicking myself!!!

Believe me, there was a millisecond of rage, but that passed.

My sister and I came to an agreement. I am now exempt from buying her any more Birthday presents for the rest of her life.

You are lucky TJL. What a good brother you are!

The last time I won anything was at the Saint Gennaro festival. I won a stuffed Wyle E. Coyote doll.

My mother just said "I'm very proud of you for not strangling your Sister on her Birthday."

You are a nice brother TJL. I have a personal policy to never give lottery tickets as gifts. I'll give a bunch of $1 tickets, but not a 5 or 10 dollar ticket where someone can win millions.
I couldn't handle it if I made someone else rich.
True story--about 5 years ago, my friend and her husband attended a Christmas party. It was for the parents of kids in school sports, so they weren't all close friends--soccer mom and dad coach types.
Everyone had to bring a $10 gift, and they had a Yankee Swap where the gifts are exchanged, sort of a game thing.
A couple brought a $10 scratch ticket and the couple that ended up with it won 2 million. Can you imagine?
