from what i saw on a documentary, she was finally getting her life back in rder and took a bad combonation of too many pills...a sad story after all the troubles she had...

I remeber when she died. She died at her mother in laws in 1998, after a strong drug overdose.

Actually she died in 1999.

Today at 4 there is a True Hollywood story about Dana Plato and her drug problem. I think the channel is E!

I think she probably would have been quite happy at the time since she was engaged and was getting ready to re-launch her career.
After appearing on Howard Stern though I doubt she would have felt happy.

I like to hope that Dana was happy but I don't know. Her engagement, though, was not only a sham, but possibly had much to do with her death. I'm quite certain of that and I wish the myth that she was sincerely engaged to be married would be put to rest once and for all. Someday, it will be.
