Well I just got my copy of the tape with the Tony Orlando and Dawn shows with Freddie. OMG it is so wonderful to see all of Freddie's talents on display. He sings and does comedy standup and sketches. It was like... OMG HEAVEN!!!! :eyes: :happyface

I couldn't agree with you more Lucky. Can he sing or what??? He is so easy on the eyes, and I love his comedy and the skit with Telma Hopkins about acting black and the pie in the face at the end. And when he comes out to talk with Tony before that and talks about getting paid for his appearances..OMG..did he not look hot or what??? If you want to see Freddie in all his glorious talented self..these tapes are a must...thanks Trinia.

:lol: I saw my tapes today since I was here trying to get my mind off things. It was a nice distraction. I have to say that I liked the show better than the movie. The movie was good, but the shows were more. LOL

I got my tape yesterday. Didn't get to watch all of the episodes just Freddies parts. He was great on there! :) He should've done a singing album & concerts! Wow, He sang even better there than he did on CATM! :) He sounded like a Las Vegas singer! :)

I wish he had sung more on there like some romantic stuff. :)

I took some pics of him off the tv from it with my digital camera so here they are...

He wore a white shirt with a brown collar & some stripes on it with some brown bellbottom dress pants & boy did he look HOT! :)

In the episode where he's in the audience he is wearing that weird hat the folks on here don't care much for. But I noticed how tight his jeans were & that Chicote is kinda noticable on here. :rotflmao: ;)

The song I Got The Music In Me is nice but I'd have loved to see him doing more than just that...

He could've easily done his own variety show or variety specials. :)

I noticed there is one part where Tony is praising Freddie as a friend & Freddie lays his head on Tony's shoulder. I noticed he looks like he's all touched & choking up & about to cry. It is so sweet... :)

...was the Road to Puerto Rico from the first show on the tape. I know that Freddie admired Bob Hope and to have him and Tony do a send up of the famous Road pictures Hope made with Bing Crosby was a real tribute. And they did a great job parodying the two famous entertainers. I could see Freddie in Bob's role very easily. It cracked me up when Freddie called Tony "Junior" just like Bob called Bing, especially knowing that Tony was much older than Freddie. And the take off at the end with Freddie in the carriage, from one of the other Road movies, OMG that was too funny. The expressions Freddie did in that sketch really cracked me up. I am a fan of the Road pictures and of Bob Hope in general. So this sketch was a real treat for me too. I think it is one of the best things they did on the show. Plus we got to hear more of that golden voice of his when they sang the "Road" theme near the beginning of the sketch. I would love to have heard Freddie sing more. MMMM and more romantic stuff too. :D
It was a bit disappointing that the quality of the tape wasn't that great for that first show, but I know how fickle satellite dishes can be. I have had my share of quality suffering too. Those who have gotten CATM tapes from me can attest to that. I am just glad to have these priceless shows. If they ever put the TOAD Rainbow Hour out on DVD I want to get these two shows.

I just have to say that I loved the TOAD shows and seeing Fredding in all the various skits and doing his stand up routine. Hopefully someday these two shows will be available on DVD.
Wouldn't that be a dream come true..and his movie too.

I'm so excited I receieved my TOAD tape today! I viewed bits and pieces of it before my husband arrived home. I loved Freddie singing "I've got the music in me!"

Oh he does a great job of singing that song on this! Tony Orlando eat yer heart out! :)
