That is, they pitched their sponsor's products in commercials that aired during the show.

I remember seeing Andy Griffith and Ron Howard selling Corn Flakes in Aunt Bee's kitchen. Wouldn't be a kick to see Wally & Beaver doing the same for their sponsor again?

Yes, they did only it was for dog food and was in their kitchen. It's for Purina Dog Chow. I have a tape of Celebrity Commercials that I got on eBay.

I miss old commericials on TVL. Remember when TVL first came out and they had all those retromericials? Yeah, I know they still play a few of the ads, but they don't play them as much now as they used to. I don't think they ever played any of the commericials with any tv cast members on it, but it would've been cool if they had played them.

Yeah. TV Land needs to bring back some of those old commercials. They were great.

And take out the split credits and voice overs, too. I pulled out some of my 'My Favorite Martian' tapes and I was watching them. Ah, the tapes are like 3-4 years old and it's just depressing see how the channel was then and how it's being done now. Yeah, they had voice overs, but I don't think they had the split credits on the MFM eps. I always meant to look at the closing credits, but I'd be doing something else and could never catch them.

Seriously, split credits are evil. Some channels do the credits better than other channels, if you wanna see bad, check out scifi's closing credits. If you can see any names, I def. give you credit.

I hate split credits and voice overs  . Whoever thought up that bright idea needs to be horsewhipped.

And hello, like they don't commericial enough as it is.

Notice your time for the eps and how many commericials we have now. Geez, it'd be interesting to see how much of a show we actually see in like 15 years (shows on tv). They'd better hurry up and make dvds for all my fave shows. I'm just getting sick of this tv crap. They rarely play some stuff, never play other stuff, over play other stuff. It's insane. All the commericial breaks are insane, so I'm def. wishing for all my fave shows to be out on dvd.

Yeah, I wish LITB would come out on DVD. At least we would see some scenes not aired on TVLand and maybe if we are lucky they just might have some cool extra features.
