TVFactFan 04-24-2003, 07:58 PM I came across a picture of how the Bunkers House in Queens looks today and just wondering do i attach the picture of the Photo? The way the house looks today you would never think the was the house in the opening credits.
DarleneIllyria 04-25-2003, 12:36 AM Let me see if I can try to help you without confusing you. Okay, is the picture in jpg format? Hopefully it is. If it isn't, hopefully you have some sort of program that allows you to open the pic up and save it as a jpg file. Next step is go to your post and click post reply. Scroll down and you'll see under the Show Signature section a box that says 'Attach file'. Click Browse. Find your file on your computer and the file name will pop up in the attach file box. Click Submit Reply and it ought to show up.

DarleneIllyria 04-25-2003, 02:49 AM Solomon,
Just wanted to let you know that I'm about to go to bed. I prob. won't get online this afternoon, but I'll be here later on tonight. Eh, probably around 8. Still, go ahead and email me the link and I'll put it on the boards the second I get to the boards.
Edit: I'm online for a few minutes, so if I get anything from you, I'll post it now. If not, it'll prob. be 8 before I get back online.

KayEn78 04-25-2003, 10:36 PM That house looks a lot like my aunt's house (she lives in Chicago). Also, my aunt's house has an enclosed front porch. You go up some stairs, then you go into the enclosed porch area and then you head through another door into the house. That house looks very similar. So, in a way, this *is* like the Bunker's house..even though the set a porch that wasn't enclosed. Both still had some kind of front porch. :) Yep, you can tell that house has been remodeled, since it was shown during the opening and closing credits of AITF.

I just noticed that the Bunker house in the opening credits did have a inside porch back then also. I never realized that. I always thought it was just steps that led to the front door.
AtlantaBravesFan29 04-26-2003, 09:04 AM I didn't even know that the house was there in Queens, New York. I have heard one time that 704 Hauser Street was a real street in New York, but I didn't know that this particular house was in existence. Thank you,Jenny, for the picture!!! Now, that's the type of house I would like to have: A two story house with a front porch and plenty of room. Great Picture!!!:)

I actually had put in a AITF episode so i could see the opening credits and I hit pause on my vcr so i could look at the Bunkers house the way it look now and back in 1971. Amazing. Now i'm hoping to come across a current picture of the Jeffersons apt building.

I agree.
Viola_Fuss 12-01-2003, 09:16 PM I went to college near Buffalo NY and lots of neighborhoods look just like the Bunker's. The houses are so close together you needn't leave your home to borrow a cup of sugar!

Bunker House seems smaller , maybe it was the camera angles in the 70's
