Thanks for posting this!

The timeslots for Bewitched are okay but they could be a lot better. I didn't expect TV Land to put Bewitched in the afternoon or in the wee-hours of the morning. :shrugs: Better luck next schedule.

Well, they can't put all the episodes on at a normal time, primetime and twice as nice is damn good for a show, lol. I admit, I did think they'd put IDOJ and Bewitched at like 4 and 5, not 2 and 3, but *shrugs*. Still they all got fairly good timeslots.

I think we are very fortunate to have this show back and I don't see why anybody should be worried about the timeslots for Bewitched, because you are getting 4 episodes from Monday-Saturdays and 2 episodes on Sundays, so there are many oppurtunitys to watch the show. I think they may even went a little overboard just so they could deliver this show to the fans of Bewitched, especially if they will be airing a 48 hour marathon.

Same goes for me..only one thing and I know I'm crossing the line, but why did Mary Tyler Moore (aka Perfectly Mary marathon) get a whole week or maybe it was 5 days, and Bewitched only gets 2? That's the only thing I'm questioning, but I'm just happy I can watch Bewitched at a time I'm actually up. ;)

There was first The Perfectly Mary Marathon from (Monday, January 22nd-Friday, January 26th from 8:00PM-12:00AM/Eastern) along with a ET in TV Land. Then there was a 48 hour marathon with The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rhoda, Phyllis, and The Betty White Show which was on from (6:00AM/Eastern on Saturday, January 27th-6:00AM/Eastern on Monday, January 29th.)

So basically it lasted about 8 days, from January 22nd-January 29th, but inbetween those days it lasted about 2 days and 4 hours.

lol okay yeah thanks. I used to be a big fan of Mary, but I kind of lost interest. I still watch occassionally, but not too often.

Actually, the 48 hours is more than a week long marathon, so you're getting more, in less time ;) at least I think. My math is iffy, and it is late... lol.

I would have liked a weeklong marathon for both shows (IDOJ and Bewitched) to make it easier to watch, but I'll live, lol.

I made sure not to watch it on Hallmark so I wouldn't be sick of it when it came to TV Land.

Actually, TV Land will show two "new" episodes per day (except on Sunday I think) and the other two episodes are just merely repeats of yesterday's episodes. If you have noticed, they do the same kind of treatment with The Brady Bunch, Sanford and Son, and Happy Days.

Thanks for letting us know :)

I have the Hallmark Channel and didn't even know they aired Bewitched, they must air in the early mornings.

I am just glad to have it anywhere on a channel that I get to watch it.

Yes, Hallmark airs two episodes of Bewitched early on Saturday morning at 6AM-7AM/Eastern, and the other two episodes of I Dream of Jeannie from 7AM-8AM/Eastern.

Odyssey/Hallmark has been running Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie since August 2001.

That's why I never knew Bewitched was on Hallmark, cause it was on so early :)

I love the Hallmark channel, it's great and wish Bewitched could stay on that channel, I am not too happy with how TV Land and Nick @ Nite treats some of the shows they air.

Hallmark did some terrible editing yet if it wasn't for Hallmark I wouldn't have seen some of the scenes that Nick at Nite had cutted out before. For example in 'A Is For Aardvark' at the end of the episode where we see Samantha receives the airplane note for the second time then walks up the stairs that was the end of the episode when it was on Nick at Nite, but on Hallmark and The Prime Channel version we see an extra scene at the end where it recreates the opening scene only Samantha locks the door this time. Maybe the scene really isn't all that big of a deal to some, but I like seeing episodes in full.

Wow! I am learning alot! I never knew either did edits. I love to see the shows in full too, and every little bit can make a difference. :)

Yeah, a lot of people complained because Hallmark butchered the Bewitched episodes in which they did, but they had the show on at a wonderful time so maybe thats why I loved the Hallmark channel so much. Except, for when they had Bewitched on during The Golden Girls in which case I had to jump back and forth during the commercials so I could watch both shows. :D
Also, I like how the hallmark channel aired the first two seasons in color other people really don't like that but for me it gave me a new way to watch those episodes like a new outlook on them. That's why I hope if Bewitched comes out on dvd they give you the option to watch those first 2 season episodes in either black and white or in color. A person can only dream can't they?

I agree, I enjoy seeing them in color because color gives you the advantage that black and white can't, and in a whole different perspective.

Maybe the reason why there aren't many '60s sitcoms who have both black and white and color episodes on DVD because they don't know if they should release all of the series in black and white or in color. So maybe if they did release Bewitched on DVD they should release it on seperate DVD's in black and white and in color.

Hmm..I was thinking if there was a possible way that they could have the episodes on the dvd and you just select whether you want to watch those first two seasons in black & white or in color. Like you get to choose right there on the menu screen. Say you wanted to watch the first episode in black and white okay so find the first episode on the menu and then another menu would come up and say 'Would you like to view this in Black & White or Color?'..kind of how they got it so you can choose whether or not you want to watch a movie in widescreen or full screen. I know my Nightmare On Elm Street dvds give you that option so why wouldn't they be able to give you the option of whether or not you want to watch it in black and white or color. Probably be expensive, but damn it's a good idea! :D

I am kinda wary of networks adding color if they weren't originally filmed in color. That would be like adding color to I love Lucy or the Dick Van Dyke show. It makes those shows stand out more, and more original.
Yes we should have the option on DVD of whether or not we want them in color or B&W, that I agree with.

I see your point, and all episodes of both I Love Lucy and The Dick Van Dyke Show were both broadcasted originally in B&W, so it's wouldn't really be necessary to put them in color. But as for Bewitched it has both color AND B&W episodes on the show, so you should have an option to see them in B&W or color, for the first two seasons that is.

That's so true, it does work for Bewitched so I don't mind it so much, and the option of Color or B&W is the best :)
