From The Futon Critic ( http://www.thefutoncritic.com )

While no firm commitments were made several titles were mentioned as being under consideration, including "The Dukes of Hazzard," "E.R.," "Smallville," "The West Wing," "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," "Night Court" and some of Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" lineup. Warner Bros. hopes to make announcments concerning many of these series "very shortly."

Mark my words. Don't be surprised if you see "Night Court" on DVD sometime after January 4th. This will mark the date of the show's 20th Anniversary. With the demand for getting "Night Court" on DVD increasing, I'm sure Warner Bros. will cave. After all, they put "Saved By The Bell Seasons 1&2" on DVD.

Be patient "Night Court" fans. I'm sure it will happen soon!

I've read that they already started putting Barney Miller on DVD.

Night Court is a DVD I would definately try to get!! However, I would wait for the seasons with Christine and Roz and not get the episodes before they were cast. I think that was how it went (it has been a while since I've gotten to see it) that Christine and Roz were not part of the original cast.

That is correct. Neither was Robinson. He was cast after Karen Austin left after the first or second season.

Unfortunately, though, this logic backfires greatly in the world of tv on DVD, as studios decide which whows are going to get past the first season on DVD based on first and second season sales.

Larry Sanders, Mad About You, and NYPD Blue have not released subsequent sales due to poor sales on the first season or two. I'm sure many people were "holing out" for later seasons, but by doing so, they prevented them from being released.

A double Edged sword, no doubt. Personally, I would want ALL seasons, but that is just me.

Yeah I'd skip the seasons before Christine and Roz. The show was still finding itself and not all that funny. They got Christine, pumped up Dan's role, and brought in Roz's no-nonsense attitude. The laughs went through the roof.

Wow! Cool to know there are other Night Court fans out there. I for one would happily purchase every season on DVD no matter what the cost. My wife and I absolutely loved this show. Unfortunately we don't get the Biography channel so we haven't seen this show for nearly a decade. Please Warner! Release the entire series on DVD at once!!

I'm very happy about this. All of my favorites are coming out.I would have never thought three's company, alf and Seinfield would have come out and now night court is being considered.I use to watch night court all the time so I will deafinly be picking this up if and when it is released. That January date would be a good time to release it.
