I just did a google search on Curve magazine and turns out it is a lesbian mag!

Don't get me wrong...not hatin on lesbians but why would that magazine have an article about this being TD's last season??

Hmm, this is the first I hear about it. I know Lifetime was recently boasting about having two hit Drama Series ("The Division" and "Strong Medicine") and said are bringing two more 'Original Programs' to their network this Summer. (Still deciding between four different pilots)
Making Two Nights of 'Lifetime Originals' instead of just Sunday with 'The Division' and 'Strong Medicine'. Therefore, if it was Cancelled they hadn't planned on it. Like I said... all I have heard recently is how much 'The Division' has been Nominated for different Awards, and how it's their highest ranking Drama. It wouldn't make much sense on Lifetime's part to be advertising 'The Division' recently as their "#1 Drama Series" (I'm sure you guys have seen the commercials that they plasted that across in bold white print) and then cancel it.

I'll let you know if I come across anything further information supporting it being cancelled.

So far I haven't seen any other reports. But this was in the May issue of Curve magazine where they talk about TV and movies:

Asian-American beauty Kristin Kreuk (Lana) became the object of lesbian affection on Smallville, while Sally Struthers and Debbie Allen joined The Division as a divorcing couple. It wasn't, however, enough to save the show: This month, The Division will air its last episode.



It doesn't make sense because the season doesn't end until later in the summer, right? Aren't they going to at least finish Season 3?

However the whole "This month 'The Division' will be airing it's last episode" is bull. They're still casting for new episodes as we speak. As a matter of fact they're casting for Eps #65 and #66 the Season Finale episodes. Why if they were just going to cut it off mid Season would they continue casting, and why put all those Episode they have ALREADY filmed down the drain? Please, Lifetime isn't stupid they spend a hell of a lot of money filming each episode.

They are probably mistaken about "this month" being the last . But the comment about not enough to "save" the show makes you wonder if they know something. Most shows air their season finales in May, so maybe they just have the date mixed up about the finale.

Wasn't it around this time last year that they announced The Division was renewed for another season? So maybe about now is the time for renewals/cancellations.

No, July(8th) of last year is when they announced renewing 'The Division' for a New Season, and the year before that was late June(21st).

They cancelled Witchblade after season 3, TNT's most popular show and I beleive only show, because it's star Yancey Butler was a drunk!
So maybe they may be cancelling this show out too maybee because it's most popular star may be drunk in real life, too.
I won't say names on that matter, either, because it may offend veiwers like you!!!

I highly doubt it. I guess its possible, but I really doubt that any of them are drunks, because they all have families except for Nancy, and I dont think she is, just because she is too good. I guess you could be right though.

If you're going to alude to the fact that an actress is drunk and they're cancelling the show because of it. ( Wouldn't we be losing half the shows on tv if that were the case?) .. come right out and give us some evidence.

I for one have to agree with Miranda on this one. They wouldn't cancell the show like that, and if they were. why would they still be pushing it trying to get everyone to watch and crowing abuot how great it is? It doesn't make sense.

Or they may have Jinny hit rock bottom and survive (Intervention part 2) at the end of this seasons eppisode 66, and put the show on anywhere from a 16 month to 2 year long hiatus.

Hey, Lifetime and the people behind the camera of The Division that we never see at all won't even let the Actors or Actresses star as leads in different movie project unless they want to sacrifise their 3 month long break time. Hell, the actresses and actors on the show work 12-16 hours a day for like 5 days a week for 9 months straight for 22 eppisodes per season and they only get about a mere 3 months before filming begins for a new season and they won't even let the actresses and actors do movies at all on the side as lifetime says it interferes with the scedule of filming. And I don't even know how Lisa Vidal does 2 shows at once unless she doesn't even take any days off at all and has ER filmed on weekends as I think that's how it goes. And she's even reportedly said to have given up her only three monts of off time to do Chasing Papi, Meaning that Poor ole Lisa Vidal hasn't had a day off in almost 2 years. She must be stressed out in real life. And Nancy McKeon may want to do a Major Movie or two per year that gets released in theaters before she hits 40 in 2006, the same thing goes with Jon Hamm, Tarah P. Henson, and Tracy Needham. And Bonnie Bedelia may also want to get back into doing movies as well. What has it been, like 3 years now.
Just like they did with The Sopranos on HBO, Debra Joy Levene should also put the show on hiatus as well. Hey, it's nothing bad, ya know, in fact, it's kind of helthy for a good show, ya know.
Plus, rumor may have it that even Debra Joy Lavine may want a big directors or producers role in the future upcoming Superman 1 remake aka Superman part V. And unlike the actors and filming which now in days averages less than 3 months, the directors, writers and producers could be on the project for much longer than that. Special effects, ya know, And Debra Joy Levene may want to operate a part of that, too, ya know.

The morale of this massive post is is that Hiatus is healthy.

Where did you read about "Lisa Vidal has reportedly said she'd given up her three months off" to do Chasing Papi? She only had a small role in that film, I didn't think it took her three months to film it.

That's true. I dont think she would have had to give up much more than a week or so.

And...the whole cast isnt in every single shot of TD, so they dont have to be there all day, every day. I bet they get a schedule, saying when they have to be there and when they dont. That makes more sense than having to pay the cast to sit around and do nothing.

You're right. I have a call sheet from a day of filming for 'The Division' and Tracey and Jon weren't even due to report in until a hour and a half after Nancy McKeon and Lisa Vidal had already been there. Heck, Lisa and Nancy had been on set for 15 minutes by the time Tracey and Jon Hamm were due to report in.
