LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Almost 10 years to the day they walked out of class shouting "Donna Martin graduates!," the cast of "Beverly Hills, 90210" is coming back to FOX for a reunion special.

Alas, Donna herself, Tori Spelling, isn't scheduled to take part.

Several other members of the original cast, including prodigal daughter Shannen Doherty, will be part of the special, which has the working title of "Beverly Hills, 90210: 10-Year High School Reunion." The special is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET Sunday, May 11.

While it would be good, campy fun to see a fictional episode about what Brandon, Dylan, Brenda and the rest of the West Beverly kids are up to, "Reunion" will instead be an interview special. In addition to Doherty, Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Jennie Garth and Gabrielle Carteris -- all of the West Beverly Class of '93 -- and James Eckhouse and Carol Potter, who played Brandon and Brenda's parents, are scheduled to appear.

The teen characters graduated from high school in May 1993, hence the special's title.

Zap2it is not complete, they re-word things. This release I posted is straight from FOX, not a rip-off like what you post everyday.

I heard on Entertainment Tonight tonight that Tori Spelling won't be on because she won't be in the same room as Shannon Doherty. I know Shannon has been rumored to be a b*tch but still she should have sucked it up so that all the original cast could be back together. And what about Brian Austin Green and Ian Ziering? Are they not going to be on it? It's sad that the whole original cast won't be there for the reunion.

Well, at least Shannen agreed to take part. She hasn't truly been involved with 90210 since her exit.

I had no clue Tori couldn't stand to be in the same room as Shannen. That's a shame the whole cast isn't reuniting. Better than nothing I guess. I totally didn't expect it.

E! TV just mention this, I am surprised. I thought Shannen had the fights with Jennie Garth.

If the reason given for Tori Spelling's refusal to take part is true, and with the media you don't know what to believe sometimes, then Tori Spelling is a spoiled brat.

She is almost 30. I am guessing she is probably depressed her career isn't going anywhere. Shannen has some kind of new reality show and Jennie has a show "What I Like About You". Also Jennie is a mother of two.

I find it interesting that Tori, Ian or David won't be there, because they were on the show for the entire run. Maybe not enough time has passed for them to reminise.

I've heard two sides to why Tori isn't going to be on. I don't know which is true. I've heard from Entertainment Tonight that she didn't want to be in the same room as Shannon and the other reason was that it conflicts with her schedule. Either way, it was her dad's tv show. It looks bad that she isn't going to be there for the reunion.

I think Ian IS going to be there. I posted above that I couldn't believe he wouldn't be there either along with Brian but afterwards I saw the preview to the reunion and I could have sworn I saw Ian with the rest of them. So, it's just Brian and Tori that won't be there.

 That's really messed up that Tori isn't going to be in the 90210 reunion:rolleyes: but I could really care less because I never really liked her in the series:D ....As for Brian Austin Green and Ian Ziering, I wonder why they aren't going to be in it? It is sad that the whole cast can't be there for the reunion. :( One person that I would have liked to see at the reunion is Tiffani Amber Thiessen, but she didn't graduate w/them, so that's probably why she wasn't asked to appear...

In this week's People Issue, it does show than Ian will be there.

It also mentioned it being tense between Shannen and Jennie.

Comments Jason Priestley, partial quote "Women have long memories."

I also did hear both versions of why Tori, wouldn't be there also.

The FOX promos also show that Ian will be there.

I can't believe Tori S. and David Green did NOT show. I mean did they have other plans? Its not like they have alot going on! geeesh! if Shannon D can make it, and her Charmed season finale was on at the same time!!!!!!!!

No excuse for daddy's little girl and Vanilla Ice not to be there. So happy they kept it to the original cast. No need to see Tiffaney Amber Thiesen and co. Though Hillary Swank would've been cool, she could of wore her Oscar around her neck and let that do all the talking.:)

It would've been nice to hear more behind the scene stories. I think an hour was too short to reminisce. It was an okay reunion show, could have been alot better if the other two showed and they chatted about everything good and bad. :p

I felt sorry for Luke Perry who had to sit between Shannon and Jennie and do his best to ease the tension. Shannon D was suprisingly way more social than Jennie G. she was very quiet. oh well, good show. :wink2:

I thought I was the only one that noticed some tension between Shannen and Jennie. You would think after all these years at least Jennie would have gotten over it. Shannen seemed real cool last night and she was very talkative, which was good to see. It seemed like everyone was talkative and excited about seeing each other except Jennie Garth.

I agree. Jennie Garth did not look like she enjoyed being there at all. It was a nice reunion, but I wasn't all that impressed by it, lol. I expected a little bit of a better one.

I agree with what someone said above. An hour wasn't enough time for this reunion. It was alright but I felt like it was rushed a little bit. I would have liked to have seen more behind the scene gossip and hear what they thought of more of hte episodes.

Everyone looks the same , just a bit older. Hairstyles are the same practically. All except Jennie G. whom I thought looked much better, she has reddish hair now and looks more like a woman. ;)

Hope you get to see it, the body language between Shannon and Jennie was so obvious. It was quite the sight to see Luke P trying to equally flatter the two as he sat right between them.

Rather than a reunion for the cast members, I think it would have been MUCH more ideal if there was a 90210 reunion movie instead.

I find it odd that their 10 year reunion (apparently a high school reunion since their characters graduated in 1993) was a reunion for the actors, and not for their characters.

Doesn't the reunion movie come on this Wednesday? I saw in the TV Guide that a reunion is coming on this Wednesday. I don't know if it's a movie or not. I'm gonna have to check my TV Guide again. I didn't see the reunion on May 11th.
