I know that most people here have nothing but negative comments to say about Carmen, but I couldn't disagree more. She did awesome tonight with "Can't Hurry Love" and she seems like such a sweet and down to earth person. Carmen is a great role model for teenagers and completely deserves to go far in this competition and to go on to do bigger and greater things. She can sing, dance, perform, and more. I also love how she is not letting this experience change her. She's not about to let Hollywood change what she believes in, such as how she won't even wear tank tops. She's not another Britney Spears... this girl is much more than just pretty, she's got talent.

I couldn't disagree more, but thats my opinion. I think the message Carmen sends to kids is that if you are pretty you can breeze through life, and even if you are talent-less, you can do anything that you want.I dunno, I just don't understand why she's stil there. She has NO talent compared to Ruben, Clay and Kim Locke. But thats my opinion, and I don't really see the point in us arguing in a post about this again. If you like her, good for you, but that doesn't mean that everyone has to like her. I like Ruben, but not everyone likes him, and everyone us in-titled to their own opinion!:eek: :rolleyes:

Everyone has different taste in music, so I don't have anything negative to say about your opinion about Carmen, but me personally, I like Ruben (like the post above mine) and also Clay. I just personally think Carmen is young, and still has time to do her music thing. She should wait till she's out of school. Plus, and this is just my opinion, I don't like that wavy, yoddle thing she does with her voice. I'm probably the only one that notices that, but I don't like it. But to each is own.

sorry, forgot something...will she not wear tanktops because she is mormon? I don't think anything is wrong with that, but I know she is from Bountiful and I assumed she was mormon. Unless there was another reason she wouldn't. I was just curious.

She is Mormon, yes. The tanktop thing probably has to do with being a mormon but also she just respects herself.

And Carmen was absolutely amazing tonight. She definitely redeemed herself. Randy's comments were quite harsh, but atleast the fatso is being honest. I can tell he's wanted to say that all along. She did a good job though when Ryan let her comment on it... RIGHT ON CARMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! The straight hair is just beautiful!!!!!!

lol, are you referring to Elizabeth from Survivor? My in laws are Mormon, (I'm not) and my sister in law lives by Bountiful and she told me it's a very religious town. And all my inlaws are against tank tops. That's why I assumed Carmen was Mormon. I've been to Utah a lot, and you know what else I have noticed? Most Mormon girls are blonde too. Carmen is blonde, Elizabeth was blonde, that girl that went missing and was kidnapped by those psycho homeless ppl was blonde..and everytime we go up there everyone is blonde. I don't know why I'm rambling about this. Anyway, I hope Ruben wins this competition. He deserves it.

But tonight, this Mormon girl got kicked off. No offense, but out of everyone, she deserved to be kicked off. I was so worried it would have been Josh, (even though I think Ruben or Clay or going to win it anyway so it doesn't really matter), I thought maybe Josh would unfairly get kicked off before Carmen, just like Kimberly from last week.
