All of you that have seen it, are you over 15? There's a debate about Rocky Horror's cult status, preservation and it's relaunch. The remake may be out on Halloween this year, the only confirmed cast member is Haldir from LOTR (Craig Parker) as the narrator). People are suggesting who should be in it. I love this film, and Shock Treatment (dvd should be out). I think John Lithgow should've been narrating, Jullianne Moore as columbia, I can't remember all that I posted.

Good, at least its still reaching out, even to young people. That's good, by the way, anyway big Rocky Horror fans- will you be watching the remake. Oh, I remember my other suggestion- Halle Berry as Columbia, Bea Arthur/John Lithgow/ Dick Van Dyke as Narrator. And Bebe Neuwirth as Magenta.

Not that I'm a BIG fan... I don't go to the midnight showings and throw toast...

But... a remake... Well, I might see it just out of curiousity. Remakes have a tendency to be pale shadows of the originals.

If I did see it, I'd more than likely wait until it came on Showtime or HBO. I doubt that I'd go to the theater to see it. I rarely go to the movies to begin with.

nO- IT is a TV movie (my heart sinks)- I was hpin' it'd be a cinema release, that way it might revive it's fanbase. Anyway- If it isn't aired in the UK at the same time or before the US- I will get a copy at all costs. One of y'all will tape it right? (Fingers Crossed)

Yes, I've heard of the movie, Yes I've seen the movie, Yes I love the movie, no I can't explain why, and of course I'll see it again!

First time I saw the movie I thought it was the dumbest thing - but after going to some of the showings I just got addicted to it! I've seen the West End Revival (they toured Germany) and it was fantastic! Yes, the Germans love this show too. My friend has it on DVD and we all pile into her room and scream out the lines - most of her neighbors don't speak English so we get away with it  I love this show. I have to say, the show is better - but that movie is so much fun! To the people that are still afraid of RHPS - you either get it, or you don't. :)

I heard that the "remake" isn't actually going to be a remake, but some kind of tribute to the original. Not sure exactly what that means, but they'd be crazy to try and top the success of the original RHPS - besides there's only one man in the world who can really play Riff-Raff! (I love your pic webuster)

Oh, and I'm 20 years old. I think there's a definate reason why that movie is rated R. :p ;)

Thanks for the comment on the pic- I like Shock Treatment almost as much as Rocky Horror. I can't really imagine many other people playing Riff Raff. Wholy crap- i jsut saw this, really, check this out- go to http://us.imdb.com/Title?0328340
EVERYONE ALERT- MARILYN MANSON IS PLAYING FRANK'N'FURTER!.

This has only been updated a few days ago, I regularyl check imdb. Anyway- heres new son remake

Updating of the much-loved 1975 Tim Curry flick, to be released early in 2003 to coincide with the original show's thirtieth anniversary of its London debut. Elliot's new millennium Frank'n-Furter no longer inhabits his decrepit Transylvanian mansion but is instead, a high profile plastic surgeon living life to the full in his luxury apartment. Still obssessed with physical perfection however, his aim is to create visually at least, the perfect man. Dialog and music is unchanged in deference to the original production.

This sin't fully true- It's said O'Brien may provide new dialogue and some new songs. O'Brien was meant to have finished an official sequel to Rocky in 2000. It's said to be his original idea for a sequel- Frank Resurrected, Janet pregnant with Frank's baby. It's going to be a play first- he's originally wrote it as a film.
The plays always change, Rocky Horror on stage now has transylvanians. But it's two hours this time- it'll include a documentary probably

I'm not sure who I trust now. It could be that Imdb had insider information in hollywood. I'm beginning to think though that they're just posting whatever info is posted most. It's now posted Marilyn Manson as Frank, a few months ago, and still on Rocky Horror sites a rumour started Marilyn was a favoiurite- It didn't say who favoured him, but people talked so much, maybe that's why they poseted him. Then they seem to be posting cast members from the stage play. Craig Parker, now removed from the casting, was narrator in a production, Joel Tobeck and Micheal Hurst, were in the play. Tobeck played Frank in the play. Hurst, played Riff raff. It changes time and again. If Manson is Frank, then who's tobeck, it doesn't say, it's unlikely he got a different role, though Dr Scott in RHPS, Johnathan Adams, was originally the criminologist (narrator). Maybe they're doing what's best, like in the last RHPS filming- maybe they're using the cast from the play almost completely, and not filling it with everyone else out, liek done with Chicago. I'm not sure who to believe, but is Marilyn Manosn eyes really always like that- if yes, then I don't want to see him as Frank. No- then it may be interesting.

Partially I hope manson's in it. It'll get the film more publicity. When it's finally broadcast on MTV (it'll happen) or VH1, instead of music fanatics going, what the hell is Rocky Horror, when they find out Marilyn Manson is ACTING in it, instead of turning over to jackass or something, they'll watch the film. However, if Manson sings it his own way, like his other songs, he'll get new fans from Mansons current fans. If he sings like Tim- he'll probably lose a bit in his singing career, or end up with a career in rock n roll, not the stuff he's singing.

3. It's a cult classic. I didn't really like it at first, but it grew on me everytime AMC played it. I still have yet to see a staged version though.

Don't take the IMDB as gospel truth, it has been known to completely make up movies that don't exist. Marilyn Manson... um, please God, no. He's fine with his music - I don't want to hear his rendition of "Sweet Transvestite." You know, with the show it's supposed to be absurd - Manson would be serious. There are plenty of great stage Franks - although Tim Curry will always be the best.

OMG, I just now noticed - MICHAEL HURST as Riff Raff???? Michael Hurst - as in Hercules's sidekick? Man, this I gotta see.

Now imdb just posts things, sometimes, that have just been announced. It even published an entry for the 'Footloose' remake as a musical, which was announced just days before. Usually projects are announced and a few days later, forgot about. So, I'm going to find the truth perhaps. Anyway, I think a better site should be started, relying really on mostly facts, and the only rumours should be plot rumours, that's it. It'd be kinda easy to find out who's in the film- they've put the finishing touches on a cast list- but probably won't announce till they've got the actor, or at least asked them. Usually they don't tell till they've got the actor- cos they don't want the actors looking bad for rejecting a film, but if it's successful then a documentary will be made probably, and Stephan will say who was considered for roles. Anyway- I can't wait- I'm only turning 15, and no one I know even knows about rocky horror (1 does, but thinks it's something different, and didn't hear anything about it from me) and a stape production by Richard O'Brien himself was in belfast, but It's 18. And the only cinema showing RHPS is at the other end of Ireland, and I don't wanna go there and not get it. So, I'm kinda glad too it's on tv, ah well- can't waity

Hey, webuster, here's a site u might appreciate:

http://www.rockyhorror-stage.de/Home.htm

That's the company that I visit regularly here in Germany (they're based in Heidelberg.)

And here, (more importantly!) is a pic of me with the cast:

http://www.rockyhorror-stage.de/Termine.htm

Scroll down to the second pic, I'm the second from the left (in between Columbia and Brad). My friend Steve is the weirdo in the middle (with his hand up) he's the one that's hooked up all of our Rocky Horror excursions ;) Hey, he's Canadian. The next big convention is in Toronto, so I'm definately gonna be visitin him :)
