What shows do you think would fit well on Nick at Nite? and why? Explain your reasons.

Well, at this point Nick should stick with sitcoms of the 80's.

Thus, My top 5 Picks are:

1. Who's the Boss? It's leaving ABC Family, thus a great time for Nick to pick it up, plus it would fit in perfect, since it ran from 1984-1992.

2. The Hogan Family. It's time this sitcom got a new cable home. It's been off way to long and it would also fit in perfect since it ran from 1986-1991.

3. Gimme a Break! It's time this sitcom was revitalized and since Nell Carter passed away it's time that we pay her a tribute. The series ran from 1981-1987.

4. Mr. Belvedere. Perfect material for Nick, funny yet quite outrageous at times, with a run from 1985-1990.

5. ALF. An obvious sitcom to air, I can't understand why it isn't airing on it right now. Unless of course, Hallmark still holds rights. It aired from 1986-1990.

80's sitcoms is what Nick needs to focus on, not 90's. Forget Coach and Wings and bring these and other shows like 227 and Silver Spoons to Nick.

Blossom...featured young characters to appeal to a younger audience target yet still sometimes dealt with mature issues.

Webster...hasn't been aired in so long, it may bring a flock of viewers to the network for nostalgic reasons.

Punky Brewster...same reason as Webster.

I also agree with boeschner. I believe Hogan Family and, especially, Gimme a Break would still hold a strong audience today as it did in the 80s.

Dave's World-I've heard that it still airs on some PAX stations but sadly mine isn't one of those PAX stations.Since I've only seen the show once or twice I would like to see N@N pick it up.

Cosby-Yes it just went off in 2000 but N@N is going to want it because it has Bill in it.

Frasier-I know what your thinking "Frasier is still on" but N@N can still air the rarely aired seasons 1-5.I've only seen a handful of episodes from those seasons plus it'll go well with Cheers and Wings.

The John Laroquette Show-It's a workplace comedy and I'm pretty sure USA isn't airing it anymore so why not?

The Jeff Foxworthy Show-Personally I don't know why I want it on N@N but for some strange reason I do.

Step By Step-Is ABC Family still airing this?

Something So Right-For those who don't remember this it's like Step By Step and The Brady Bunch only with Jere Burns and Mel Harris instead of Patrick and Suzanne or Robert and Florence.

It fits N@N's "modern classics" deal perfectly, and it's one of the best shows ever.

I'd love to see more of a variety of shows from the 80's and early 90's. I wish they'd show less Cosby Show, dump Three's Company and Coach, and stop screwing with their scedule so much. AND PUT WINGS BACK IN PRIME-TIME!!!

I think Boy meets world would be great for Nick. Its a 90's shows.
If they don't show it on Nick they could show it on teen Nick. I don't get Disney Channel so I can't watch it.

I don't know what would fit Nick at Nite's schedule anymore since they are putting Roseanne(YUCK!) on in the fall. But I would like to see the following:

1. One Day At A Time--Great show that no one has ever seen very much in reruns

2. ALF-- Same reason

3. Different Strokes and Facts Of Life--Bring Them Back

4. Alice--Very funny show

5. 227 and Amen--Both great shows

And another question: Where are they going fit "Full House" into their schedule??? It doesn't seem like a night time show better fit for in the daytime.

ALF - It hasn't aired on Hallmark for awhile and now it's on hiatus, if they are giving the show a break, maybe Nick-at-Nite can give the show a try.

Small Wonder - A classic, that needs to brought back, it is definately a family friendly sitcom, and Nick-at-Nite should bring back the laughs.

Silver Spoons - It aired as part of Nick-at-Nite's "Revenge of the 80s" Marathon, I think if they gave this show a chance again, I'm sure it will do quite well.

Just the Ten of Us - TV Land airs it from time to time, they also own the rights to it, maybe it would be best if they handed over the show to Nick-at-Nite.

I think if they spent less time on Modern TV Classics, , they should try to air a larger variety of sitcoms from the 1980s, instead of being limited to only Modern TV Classics. maybe then, they would grap the viewer's attention again. As for the Modern TV Classics, I would leave that up to USA, WGN and TBS.

I personally can't stand sitcoms of the 1980's. The only ones I like are ALF, Perfect Strangers, Night Court and Charles in Charge.

In thinking of "Modern Classics", Wings fits in perfectly.

My choices exactly. I always thought that is what Nick @ Nite would do. Gradually go towards the 80s. When they debuted FOL and Diff'rent Strokes, I thought it was happening. Next thing I know, it's Family Ties (which fits perfectly), Cheers (not a bad choice) and then The Cosby Show (Nick at Nite material, but they've overplayed it way too much). And now it's Roseanne, Fresh Prince, Full House, and god knows what else. I like all of those shows, but it's way too soon.

MANY MANY 80s shows are just ignored now. We need an 80s TV Land or something.

Frasier - Again, Cheers Spinoff, Seasons 1 - 6 I've NEVER seen and its certaintly a modern TV classic that is not too raunchy.

Diff'rent Strokes - Late 70s to mid 80s sitcom classic.

Facts of Life - ditto.

ALF - Late 80s to Early 90s modern TV classic. TV-G.

Cosby - With N@N going strong with BillMania, this TV-G show would fit right in.

I'll say it now, I'll say it again: Roseanne will totally flop on N@N. Trust me.

I was very surprised that "A Different World" did not make the cut to Nick at Nite since it was a spinoff of the Cosby Show and Lisa Bonet only appeared in the first season,after that it became the Jasmine Guy show. Very surprised.

Night Court would fit perfectly with Cosby Show, family Ties & Cheers, just like ot did in the 80s. I also agree about ALF & Mr Belvedere & they should really air Perfect Strangers--not just the early seasons but the ENTIRE RUN! Since they already have Coach, they might as well have Barry Kemp's Newhart as well. Also I think someone should air Evening Shade, the one Bloodworth-Thomason(sp?) show I enjoyed (besides the first season of Hearts Afire, before it was turned it into a weak imitation of Evening Shade).

I also forgot Benson--I remember watching that show when I was young--it was a great show and had one of the best theme songs!

im really tired of this modern tv trash. the reason most people watch N@N is because they DONT want to watch modern TV. i admit i have a softspot for Wings but Full House and Rosanne should not be coming to N@N. Cheers and Cosby are the shows that ruined the station. Coach just sucks. why cant they stop the double take crap and just show more good, quality sitcoms. heres a few good ones

Great pick! I can't believe N@N hasn't scooped this show up by now. It'd fair well even on Lifetime or Oxygen since they're both networks geared towards women and Ann was a single mother living alone with her two daughters.
