Did anybody hear about this yet? Some Oakland fan threw a cell phone that hit Carl Everett in the head during the A's 12-2 loss. Everett plans to press charges against that idiot. And this comes four days after the incident in which a fan attacked umpire Laz Diaz in Chicago. This is pathetic. I hope that fan gets his ass prosecuted so hard that even Perry Mason and Ben Matlock as a team couldn't help him. I also hope that this sends a message to all baseball fans that behaviors such as these will not be the least bit tolerated.

Yeah, that was incredibly stupid on the fans part and I hope he receives the proper punishment. However, I disagree with Everett throwing the phone back into the stands and hitting a fan. That wasn't very wise on his own part.

Yeah, it his some fan in the head and he had a lovely gash and knot atop his right eye. Everett will be lucky if the fan doesn't press charges on him. That was immature on Carl's part, even though I understand why he reacted so quickly-he was ticked-as he should have been.
