A breakthrough in semi conductor chips means people could soon be making calls from tiny mobile phones embedded in their skin.

Scientists at BT EXACT research centre reckon they'll be printing keyboards on peoples arms and legs by the end of the decade. This could lead to a permanent tattoo doubling up as an mp3 player on your leg, or a tv , rather like a tellytubby. The best prediction was by Ian Pearson- is using silicon breasts instead of a disc as computer storage device. He calls the excuse to fiddle with womens boobs- Mammary memory.

So, what do you all think. I'm a little concerned. First, what happens if you're 'doing it'- could your leg accidentally ring a number? That would be kind of odd, it would make anyone think twice about two-timing. Also, in some films you see a celeb wearing a t-shirt and see a tattoo round their arm, the new norm then could be spotting their keyboard. It would be kind of odd having to life your leg to dial a phone number, you'd need to be a bit healthy, and the whole charlies angels nokia thing would change completely too. I like the idea of the mp3 player, but I think this could be used a a tracking device, just as Kazaa using spyware, other phone companies could use this too. An advantage would be police tracking missing persons though. Maybe we could all have a usb port implanted too, so we can hook up to computers or plugs to make a call.
Second, the boob thing, would you need a fan in your back too to stop the whole thing overheating.

So, what do you all think? By the way, this article is from a respected, truth-telling paper, not these tabloid magazines reporting leprachauns living with Alanis Morissette in her apartment. I'm definitely against all this, and if it actually catches on, I won't be queuing up like cattle getting a tag on their ear. AGAINST IT.

Interesting. Do we get to pick what part of our body we choose to speak into?

;)

I wonder if you could have a bad reception, maybe then you'd have to walk around with your arm held high or holding a spoon to your head whilst making a call. Maybe they'll install an antennae like bender in futurama. C:\Documents and Settings\ANTHONY1\My Documents\My Pictures\Dial
