I just thought of this a few months ago... I think it would really change the future of TV.

Have as many My Choice/Viewer Choice Channels.

Example:

The networtk buys the rights to every show ever created. All the viewer has to do is design a 24 hour schedule their own way, and the cable company puts those shows at the times the person wants them on....24 hours a day. And whenever the viewer wants to change a time or a show, all they have to do is call up.

I think it would be cool, but it would take a lot of time, since it will be hard to meet everyone's needs and everyone's schedule.

I mean, I would love to see Gimme A Break, and a few other 80's shows that are not on tv anymore. I would make a channel all my way, with the tv shows I love and the times I want them on.

Do you think this idea would be good?

I guess it would cost a lot of money....say like 25 dollars a month for your own custon schedule of shows, but it would be worth it...

Well a network can't buy the rights to EVERY show ever created but they can get a good variety of rare and short-lived shows that no other channel is interested in.

That's what CTS likes to do up here. They'll buy a popular show like "Happy Days" which a lot of people love and build their schedule around rarely seen gems like "Family Affair". When the right shows are on, it works great!
