Is there any way that a person, or group of people can actually buy the rights of a sitcom and then buy airtime to show it on air?

I've been wordering this for a long time.

LOL... if we can, SO should create a fund to buy the rights of one specific sitcom and then buy airtime on a cable network to show it. :p
