I went to Borders today and I was about to purchase the Sanford and Son first season. It was 29.95 or something like that. I changed my mind after my parents warned me that it would be a waste of a weeks pay and so I decided to seek other people's opinions on this. Are the sets worth buying?

I live here in SD, actually north county and i went to the Best Buy in Oceanside. There price for each season was $22.99. I definatley think it was worth buying in my opinion.

Most Definitely Worth It!!! You might check other places like Best Buy or Circuit City,they are cheaper than Borders are. I paid $25 for the 2nd season set at Best Buy and I paid that much at Wal-Mart for the 1st season set. Not only are they worth it, but these are the unedited episodes you are getting. I am enjoying both sets tremendously.:)

Finally, someone else besides me on these boards who lives in or very close to SD. I live in Rancho Penasquitos. Thanks for posting. I think I'll try the Best Buy in Mira Mesa or the Circuit City in Carmel Mountain Ranch.

They are def. worth buying, imo.

I have bought both of the seasons on DVD, and they are in such great quality. They are definately worth buying, especially if your getting them un-cut.

I take it we might be the only ones from SD. I like that whole area, RB, RP, Poway, really nice out there. I am in Vista. Good Luck on the DVD's.

I WOULD SUGGEST THE VHS TAPES IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE. IF NOT GET THE DVD.
