Chocoholic 04-16-2003, 09:09 PM Wings is the coolest show, you KNOW!
It stars a pilot by the name of Joe.
Joe works with a woman named Fay.
They get to hang out with their friends every day.
They all work at a nice little airport
With their cabbie friend, Antonio, who's an Italian import.
Also at the airport is Joe's brother, Brian.
He'll make you laugh so hard, you'll start cryin'.
Helen at the counter will serve you lunch.
She's sweet, but can pack a mean punch!
The rival airline is owned by a guy named Roy
Who obviously didn't get much love as a boy.
If the plane is malfunctioning, don't you panic!
It'll be fixed quickly by Lowell, the trusty mechanic.
Alex will give you a helicopter ride
While Casey sits by your side.
Time is growing short, so I must go.
Just remember the Wings characters are the best you'll ever know.
nantucket_wings 04-16-2003, 09:11 PM WOW, thats a really good one ... :) ... got any more, you know we can find some really funny jokes and change the words to it to make it have a wings theme to it

hahaha!
WOA! Here comes the flashbacks to doing "Bye Bye Birdie" my senior year of high school... woaaaa....
and hey, that little song, with that first name goes with someone on this board too... heh heh heh  ;)
AngeFaitore 02-11-2004, 03:56 PM Actually, they used that verse of the song for an episode of "Duckman" that I saw this past weekend. It was the one with Cornfed's birthday party. So naturally it came to my mind when I saw this post.
I went looking for the lyrics to the song and was surprised to find that it originated from the musical/movie starring Ann-Margret
I guess it would have been funnier now if I would have written Lowell's name in place of Conrad's name instead of placing Thomas Haden Church's name in the melody! (Did that make any sense to you?.. What's with my writing lately?!)

oh man!! haha!! It didn't even hit me that Ann-Margaret was in the movie! I forgot about that!! hahaha. The movie didn't come to my mind right away because I was in the play in high school, and I immediately thought of that. Oh man, that was my favorite musical that I did when I was in high school... I had a blast.

Snoopy, that's amazing!! I write poetry once in a while and sometimes I'm amazed of the things I think of. I have a feeling this was something you had written down a while ago.
