I think some of the funniest parts of the episodes are Rose's stories. Are there any stories told by the great Betty White that make you crack up every time you hear her tell them? The story about the 'Great Herring War' Dorothy-'Oh, THAT great herring war'!! Also, the story about the Druid priests coming to Rose's town looking for the town's dumbest virgin. Rose-'I don't know why I raised my hand.' The 'priests' had her crawl through their legs, only to later find out they were just Shriners looking for a good time!:woohoo:

You know this reminds me of Gunilla Hufstaader, St. Olaf's very own Angel of Death.

From the episode Not Another Monday.

I liked the one about the hairdresser that almost ruined St. Olaf when she got a makeover, got married and left town. She almost ruined the town because the women were so hideous with their home Art Garfunkel perms.

Unfortunately, there's really only one St. Olaf story that I trully like/love. The one about the herring circus

The one I love is when Dorothy is mad at Sophia for hooking her up with a matchmaker and wants to speak to Blance about it, so asks Rose where Blance is and Rose gets upset because Dorothy doesn't want to speak to her because she knows that Rose will tell one of her St. Olaf stories. So Dorothy decies to give Rose a chance and Rose can't help herself and starts to tell Dorothy a St. Olaf story and tries to hide it by changing the stories location to Paris, France, even though Dorothy knows that she is trying to tell a St. Olaf story and says to Rose "Does it look like just fell off the turnip truck?" and Rose says "No, but you do look like the lady who used to drive it" and the Rose starts telling another St. Olaf story and tries to tell two at the same time.

And aren't the next few lines:

Dorothy - Rose! You're doing two at a time!
Rose - *gets a weird look in her eye* I know....I'd like to try it..

Anyways, my favorite one is....Lol, I dunno! They're all so funny.

Yeah,,the herring cannonball was the first and the best.

Some of the others weren't as funny but it was always hysterical to see the other girls' reactions when Rose was about to tell one of her stories.

I can't remember it and ain't seen it in forever, but I LOVE the really, really long one Rose does in the kitchen in front of Blanche (and maybe Sophia) and it ended up in a graveyard after someone had died, then someone else died, and Rose was like, "Well, the graves were already right there," or somethin' like that, and it ended up in a double burial, and it was hilarious! :rotflmao:

May not make much sense, but trust me, ya gotta see it! lol :D

Is this the episode that Rose thinks she sees her husband beyond the grave? That was a very funny episode if that's the one you are talking about?:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I dunno...been ages since I've seen it, but it's hilarious!

And at the end of the exasperatin' story, which took up about a good 3 or 4 minutes probably, Blanche is standin' at the counter doni' somethin' and she just looks at her and goes, "Shut up, Rose!" and accuses her of makin' it up, .

I really like the one Rose told about the dance team of Step and Fetchit(sp?) That gets me everytime. I also like the one about Vidal Sass Bogerdodder, the hair dresser. Oh and the story Rose told about her and Charlie living in a burning house. One more, but I can't remember the entire story. She's talking about some guy who gets killed by a tractor. She says the wife says, "That looks like bits of Joe's shirt, and that looks like bits of Joe's overalls, and that looks like bits of Joe's arm." I love that.
