Agree with this list or disagree? What are your choices?

I disagree with a lot of the list but there are a few that deserve to be on there. It seems like the guy was saying most of it to get a reaction..

disagree with almost all of it. i think hes just trying to get a rise out of some people. plus hes getting a few genres confused.

i like this comment on it. i agree with it:
"Wow -
This list was obviously compiled by an music elitist, the type who will slam anything that enjoys any level of commercial success just because he has tremendous disdain for humanity in general...."

"Moving Pictures" by Rush, "The Joshua Tree", "War", and "Zooropa" by U2, and "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd should be dumped??? I'm afraid to guess what the hell this guy has in his collection.

Hmm.. If I actually removed these albums from my collection, I'd be left with only half of them.
I notice that the compiler of this list has something against U2, they show up about 4 times. Doesn't particularly like the Police or Sting either. I also don't understand the author's reasoning on some of them -- Oasis's Whats the story.. -- I know I'd put Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (Little James is so terrible that it cancels out 'Where did it all go wrong?' and 'Gas Panic', the few decent tracks..) on this list before I even considered WTSMG..

I agree with *Mogwai* that the author put most of the albums down just to be "contraversial"
tsk

I highly disagree with the following-

#1. The Clash, Combat Rock

What bit their ass this morning? "Rock the Casbah" and "Should I Stay or Should I Go" were two of their biggest hits, if not thee biggest hits. Jesus.

#3. Nirvana, Nevermind

Oh ********.

#39. Wilco, Being There

Okay, newsflash, people. He may not be the most popular guy around town, but Wilco is great.

#42. The Police, Zenyatta Mondatta

My favorite album by The Police. I'm highly suprised...

#56. No Doubt, Tragic Kingdom

My opinion tends to change on this frequently. It's not ska- hell no, it's not ska. People call them sell-outs. BUT, ska or no ska, it's still a good album

#61. Rancid, And Out Came The Wolves

Oh please. This album's great, and he knows it. I haven't met one person who doesn't like it.

#65. Sarah McLaughlin, Fumbling Towards Ecsasty/Surfacing

She has a beautiful, haunting voice. I'm insulted.

#84. Pink, Missundaztood

Okay...one of the only modern-day pop albums I like, but I think it's a good one

#87. Madonna, The Immaculate Collection

Oh meangya...I was just listening to this today. This albums rocks.

The Clash, U2, The Beatles, The Police, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt, Rancid, Rush, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Nirvana?????? Who wrote this thing? They obviously don't have anything better to do. I agree with what you guys said, it's just someone trying to stir up controversy. But if, for some odd reason. this is their real opinions and albums they really would get rid of, I would really, REALLY like to see what they listen to.

I definetely wouldn't want to get rid of any Beatles, David Bowie, Jefferson Airplane, Prince, Kinks, Celine Dion, Hole, No Doubt, Elvis Presley, Sarah McLachlan, R.E.M., Pink, Madonna or Alicia Keys. Whoever made that list doesn't have a freakin' clue about good music.

That is a list by a bunch of guys who have haven't got laid in a long time bitching about all the albums they bought and for some reason are having a change of heart.

Funny how they tool on Ben Folds and his bitterness. They are off their f-ing heads making this list- they are bitter about something.

Absoulutely they were not sober when they decided to do this.

How can they rag on these albums unless they have listened to them countless times?
I mean they named Tim by the Replacements- they must think they are f-ing cool, and know their sh-t, but seriously this is grasping.

Yeah, Darkside of the Moon sucks, and, maybe, you'll girlfriend will come back or perhaps you'll be alone forever with your geek filled hate consuming paranoia.

Insipid, generalized, lost in their own funk, this is a pile of crap.

You've got to stop holding back your feelings and tell us how you really feel.
Kidding aside, funny post dlemond.

No, thats ok. I'll keep my music collection intact. Some of my favorite artists are on that list and many artists that I think should be on that list are not.
