I heard a few months back on like Entertainment Tonight or something that this girl was cast to play Lucille Ball in a made for television movie or something along those lines. What happened to that?

And another thing... I found this article thats very interesting about a remake of yours, mine and ours:

According to Variety, MGM and Paramount are remaking Yours, Mine & Ours, the 1968 comedy that starred Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda as two widowers who marry and bring their 18 kids under one roof. Bob Hilgenberg and Rob Muir will write the script.

The scribes are best known for originating the script for Scared Guys, a John Baldecchi-produced comedy starring Ray Romano and Kevin James that is in pre-production. Hilgenberg and Muir also wrote the original draft of Father Knows Best, a remake at Nickelodeon Films and Paramount that will star Tim Allen.

MGM will run production and get international territories. Paramount will distribute domestically

~I'm excited about them redoing an great Lucille Ball movie, but I hate to see how much they almost ruin it. I mean, i just wonder how they would pull this off. I wonder who would play the characters.

Supposedly David Duchovny bought the rights to remake I Love Lucy starring himself and his wife Tea Leoni. I think the idea was to switch roles, with him being the Lucy type character, and her being more Ricky-like. There was a lot of talk about it, back when people were still watching The X-Files, then the whole thing seemed to dry up. Probably for the best!

Julia Roberts was also talked about a lot for a Lucy movie, another bad idea that faded with time. And,back when she was popular, Roseanne and her jerk hubby Tom Arnold wanted to redo Long Long Trailer, OY!

Oh that would have been atrocious.

:) You really don't like Tom Arnold, do you Splain! One wonders why the guy was considering a remake of ILL if he honestly didn't like Lucy.

Incidentally, in his (brilliiant!) autobiography, Bruce "Don't Call Me Ash" Campbell talks about Tom Arnold. Made me laugh.

Because he was just tagging along Roseanne's coattails as usual, she was the one with the power in Hollywood, and even she had the good sense NOT to do that project. Yes, Tom is up there with Michael Jackson in my HATE PARADE! I did like him in True Lies as a supporting actor, he got good reviews for that, so then Hollywood gave him three movies and they all BOMBED! One good supporting role does not a movie star make!

True enough! And Mickey, i don't dislike Tom because he did not like Lucy, i never heard that he did, i dislike him because like Jim Belushi and so many others in Hollywood, he has no talent!
