I know that a lot of books have been talked about on this board in the past, but I can't seem to find some place that a list is all put together. I have been trying to read about I Love Lucy, and the books written about it. There are so many, I just can't keep track of which ones are good, and which ones aren't.
So to make things easier, can all you Lucy fans please make a list of your favorite books written about the show or about any of the people involved. If you all list your favorites, maybe I can at least read the one(s) that everyone lists as a favorite. Thanks.

My favorite 'Lucy' Books are:
- The Lucy Book (talks about ALL of her shows, episode descriptions, actors comments, ect.)
- Love, Lucy (autobiography by Lucille Ball)
- The Other Side of Ethel Mertz: The Life Story of Vivian Vance (Biography of Vivian Vance)

my favorite book is Love, Lucy-- I think that sometimes if you get so into the book, that you can actually hear lucy telling you the story. (I swear Im not crazy but its true!)

Oh I love, love, love A Book by Desi Arnaz. His humor and sentiment comes across incredibly well so it is a very entertaining and interesting read. Lots of stuff on Lucy is in it of course, since she influenced so much of his life. The book goes up until the late 60's or early 70's I believe, even though it was written in 1976. I always remember the last line - "I love Lucy was never just a title"!
There's also a "Lucy: A Life in Pictures" book that just recently came out in paperback this year. You could probably find this at the bookstore at around $5 and it's filled with pictures of Lucy's professional and personal lives. "I Loved Lucy" by a former friend of Lucy's also just came out but I haven't been able to find it yet - although I've been trying!

I highly recommend "Desilu: The Story Of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz." Also, "The I Love Lucy Book" by Bart Andrews, "Love, Lucy" by Lucille Ball (an absolutely wonderful autobiography!!) and "A Book" by Desi Arnaz.
