Just wondering! I have a great interest in it an this was a great pull to this show besides the characters that were more real then other shows.

This one's a real "Oldie" (from the 1950's), but it's a goodie....

Bob Cummings' sitcom "Love That Bob" had a connection to aviation.
In real life, Bob Cummings was an avid flyer and piloted his own private plane....and so did his sitcom character, Bob Collins.

Collins' "regular" job was that of a professional photographer, but he often would be seen flying his private plane for long-distance photography assignments.

Once in a while Cummings would play a dual role on the show....Bob Collins and Collins' "dirty old man" grandfather. Grandpa Collins was an old aerial photographer, and he would fly this old, beat-up crate of an airplane while dressed like a WWI flying ace!

"Love That Bob" was a funny show and really showed Bob Cummings' real-life love of flying....plus Bob Collins had a "Brian Hackett"-type eye for the ladies (and "struck out" just about as often)!

I have always had a paralyzing fear of flying and I don't really like being at airports, and Wings is one of my favorite TV shows. How ironic is that?

I also don't like hospitals, but I love ER. I'm weird, I guess :)
