Tampa Bay Kicked Butt That Day

OK. Let me get this straight. The Eagles (The Philadelphia Eagles) had a great season last season until something seemed to happen.

They had been doing so good. I think Andy Reid had been coaching at his best last year. And even though Donovan McNabb was injured several times last year, he still had great times last season.

Donovan McNabb is probably one of the most popular players on the team since we (people in Philadelphia and in Suburban Pennsylvania) have obtained those bobbleheads and authographed footballs at McDonald's.

The Eagles had made it to the championship game, which happened the week before The Super Bowl. They were playing against Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they had been winning in the first quarter if I can recall.

And then as time went on, they were losing and the fans seemed to be mad and doing a lot of booing. Everyone was upset and my dad said that Donovan McNabb hadn't been playing good at all. He must have changed.

And after the 3rd quarter, I was beginning to think they were gonna lose. And they did lose. Tampa Bay sucked and they probably lost since that was their last game at Veteran's Stadium. Is that why they were so mad?

And this will be a very sad season to see The Phillies play at the Vet with all their home games since the Vet will be knocked down at the end of the Season due to building Lincoln Financial Stadium for the Eagles and a new stadium for the Phillies opening in 2004.

My dad told me that he has a many memories of Veteran's Stadium. It'll always be the best place to remember and cherrish for the rest of your life.

And I can recall that the day after The Eagles lost, all the newspapers had a message like "Why? Eagles Why?" and "Cry Eagles Cry" and so forth. Tampa Bay kicked but on that game and it is a moment that I'll never forget.
