I think some advantages are: having someone who really loves you and cares for you and pampers you and does nice things and stuff.

As long as a boyfriend loves and respects you, I can't think of any disadvantages.

advantages to having a bf:
-knowing someones always there
-feeling like it'll last forever
-getting home late on fri/sat nights
-the little moments that make it special
-attention (i thrive on it...;) )
-just that "being in love" feeling

disadvantages to having a bf:
-time commitments- sometimes not as much time for other friends
-not being tied down/can flirt w/out feeling bad
-the fear that something will happen (or you'll eventually get bored of it)
-that underlying pressure to go farther than you want to
