1.What was the total number of cleaning stores that George ended up with by the last season?-didn't follow the show to the end.
2.Where did the idea of moving to Manhattan come from?
3.Where in NYC was the Truck in the very beginning of the 1975 Opening Credits.
4. Why the character Lionel was seen less and less in Season one.
5. Why Damon Evans left the show? Or if he it didn't, why was he removed?
6.Why were George and Louise in a cab in 1975 opening credits?

1. George has seven cleaning stores. I believe he got his seventh one in 1976.
2. I pretty sure the idea of moving to Manhattan was George's idea. If you remember the episode when George's friend mailed him the "To Do" list that they did when they were kids. One of the things that George wanted to accomplish is living under 110th street. East Colby is definitely under 110th street. To be percise, I believe I recall hearing that it was somewhere in the 60th block.
3. I believe the truck was in Manhattan.
4. Uh the character Lionel was seen less and less, because he was in the process of graduating from college. Plus he was a grown man, so he definitely wasn't going to be under his parents all the time.
5. Probably for the popular demand for Mike Evans. I don't know.
6. George and Weezy were in the cab, because they were still in the process of movin' to their apt. Plus it's NYC, cabs are the main transport of the citizens out there.

5. Damon Evans left because he was tired of it. He wanted to focus more on his singing abilities in opera. During the 1977-1978 he began skipping rehearsals because he no longer wanted to do the show.
I think I heard this info on one of the Entertainment Tonight Weekend editions.
