The A-Team was klling Happy Days in the ratings. Ifr there was no A-TEam and HD pulled in the ratings they wanted there might have been a 12th season. It would have depended on the willingness of the cast to do it.

I have a related question. Do you think A-Team would've still beat HD in the ratings if it wasn't weakened by the departures of Al, Joanie & chachi & all those new characters weren't added to compensate the loss?:happyface

Joanie & Chachi were back for the last season, remember that. But I think times had changed in general. 50's nostalgia has very prevelent in the 70's which had a lot to do with HD's early success. Times had changed alot by 1984. I know personally by the earlie 80's none of the kids I went to school really thought The Fonz was that cool anymore. So my sad answer is no. I DO think however HD might have had better ratings without all the oost characters and settings. Maybe thety wouldnlt have beatent The A-Team but they probably would have retained enough of the core audience to do very well.

BUT DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THE CAST WANTED TO DOA 12TH SEASON OR DID THEY DECIDE THAT THE 11TH WS THERE lAST ONE?

Yeah, I know that J&C did return in the last season, but I was wondering if the ratings would've dipped as much if they never left in the first place. Granted, the show had a good, healthy run and most all good shows run out of steam creatively and changes are often made as a result. I think the Patton Vocational school oin the last season is a good example of that.
