Mon, Apr 7, 2003 11:48 AM PDT
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - The Disney Channel hit comedy "That's So Raven" will be back for a second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Raven" premiered in January and set the Disney Channel original series premiere record with a 3.0 rating. The show is a hit among kids 6-11 and tweens and currently ranks with Hillary Duff's soon-to-be-movie "Lizzie Maguire" among the cable network's highest rated shows.
"Raven" stars former "Cosby" moppet Raven-Symone as a psychic teen whose visions let her change the course of daily events. The show also stars Orlando Brown, Anneliese van der Pol, Kyle Orlando Massey, T'Keyah Crystal Keymah and Rondell Sheridan. David Brookwell, Sean McNamara, Marc Warren and Dennis Rinseler are the show's executive producers.
"Even before we launched this sitcom, we knew Raven and her fellow cast members were gems," says Gary Marsh, executive vp original programming and production for Disney Channel. "Each has their own brand of physical comedy, and together they're like 'The Carol Burnett Show' meets 'In Living Color.'
Production on the new season of " Raven" will launch immediately."
