No! It would no doubt fail miserably. They could never find any actors that would come close to holding a candle to the original Fab Four! I would even see it as a complete insult,they would probably make a complete disaster out of it just like they did the 1991 Lucy and Desi movie. We will always have the reruns and if something happened where we didn't,I feel let the past rest in peace.

I`ll tell you one thing,THEY WOULD LOSE MY VIEWING.How many people could talk spanish and do it like Desi????????????????:p

I WOULD refuse to watch it. They would lose my veiwing as well. I dont even think a tv production company would dare to try and put together another version of the ILL show. Thats just my opinion.. :mad:

If you want to get technical, they've made several shows over the years that resemble I Love Lucy. Any sitcom with a husband/wife or best friends theme probably took some notes from Lucy.

As far as an actual remake goes, it wouldn't work. The actors are much too attached to the characters and vice versa. You could take a show like Hogan's Heroes and have a much better chance remaking it because many people don't associate the actors with the characters. For instance, if you asked people for a show that Richard Dawson was in, I'll bet 75% will say Family Feud. They wouldn't jump up and down and go "He was Newkirk on Hogan's Heroes!!" You asked that same question about Lucille Ball, and 95% (maybe more) will most definitely say I Love Lucy. Lucille Ball is Lucy Ricardo to many people.

Who would film it? DESILU went out of bussiness.
