I would like to know why the show Alf was cancelled? His show was still number 1 and was to return the following year, I don't believe it was so it could be replaced by another show. If that was the reason I think the network would have said this is the final show.There was never any reason given for the cancelled show.

I never heard a reason. I think it just ran its course.
