Does anyone else here have asthma? What do you take for it? Do you have a lot of problems from it?

I am an adult and NEVER had asthma problems as a child. Last year I was diagnosed with Adult Onset Asthma. :( I take Singular twice a day and have an Advair Inhaler that I have to use once a day. The Advair Inhaler gives me an infection though so I tried to stop taking it but I could tell the difference in NOT taking it, having difficulty breathing, etc.

I don't seem to have any asthma attacks, the medication keeps that under control. But it does suck.

When I was little I was diagnosed with Asthma... I had problems with it from the time i was 3 until around 16.. I used to use the Venolin(sp?) inhaler, Beclovent(sp?) inhaler, along with Saline and liquid Venolin with my Nebulizer( breathing machine). Also when my asthma attacks got really bad they put me on some type of steroid to open up my lungs.

Last year, Jan., 2002, I had bronchitis for the first time ever. I was also told I "might" have asthma. I was given an inhaler (by prescription), but don't need it often- and only during the coolest winter months and even then only about four or five times a week. My symptoms include shortness of breath and wheezing- never happens during spring, summer and fall, only during the winter months.
I've been taking vitamin B-6 because I've read that this vitamin is supposed to help with asthma conditions. It just might be helping, but I'm not sure because this is the time of the year when my asthma (if it is asthma) decreases.
