I started noticing advertising today on my cable stations of Soapnet. This has not ever happened before so I wonder if this means I may be getting Soapnet soon on my cable lineup. Has anyone else noticed this by any station and soon following started to receive that channel?
Thanks!
I didn't notice any advertising for SoapNet, except for one ad for the Soap Opera Digest Awards.
But our cable company finally did add the network, and I'm very happy about it. The only problem I have is figuring out what comes on when.
I've wanted to have it for a long time. I need a new station to like since TV Land has not only dumped Adam-12 (a while ago), but also The Love Boat. :(

Ive got soapnet -0 i stopped watching soaps a while back because they were wizzing me off, but the good thing about soapnet (abc soaps) is they have weekend marathons - they show the entire weeks worth of all my children, one life to live, general hospital, and whatever back to back so you can catch what you missed or tape. pretty cool. I did start sneaking a peak at one life to live again last month but that does not mean i like it - just that i try to catch it everyday!!!! <G>
I dont know if showing ads for it means anything though - i see ads for stations like trio all the time, cant remember what station, but those may be regular ads just like for sprite or something.
Good luck getting it though - maybe they will pick it up. Worth it is you like oldie soaps, too.

When I got SoapNet two months ago, there was no advertising. I discovered it on the TV Guide channel. They had OLTL listed at like 5pm and I was like "why is it airing that late?" I looked at the network and saw it listed as SoapNet. But we didn't get it until two/three days after I first saw it listed. Werm I'm glad they added it. I don't like current soaps, but I enjoy watching reruns of Dynasty and Ryan's Hope.
