Does anyone know anything about Desi's second wife?

The "Desilu" book has some interesting information on Edie and Desi. Supposedly, Desi met Edie in the 1940s when she was a cigarette girl at a racetrack. Edie later married Clement Hirsch, the Kal-Kan dog food magnate. She and Desi started an affair while she was still married. She divorced her husband in Juarez, Mexico, and married Desi the next day.

Arnaz family friend Marcella Rabwin was quoted in the "Desilu" book. "Desi had to marry Edie because there was a big scandal. Hirsch knew about them and had them followed. (Edie) left him, which was the biggest mistake she ever made, because Hirsch really was a wealthy man and a considerate husband. She just fell for the Arnaz charm. With Desi, she wound up not in need, but very, very limited financially. Desi made the mistake of buying his place in Las Cruces [Mexico] and then used the rest of his money for living-on capital, which was insane. Nobody could stop him. He said, 'I'm not going to live so long that I'll outlive the money.' It wound up that they couldn't pay their bills some of the time. Edit always said, 'If worse comes to worst, we'll get out of here and go live in Mexico.' It was so idiotic, because he had been such a smart businessman."

Hmm, very interesting.
