From the "lost Lucy episodes" tape I discovered that Desilu studios was the old RKO studios (so in that other thread of predicting the past, if there hadn't been the Keystone cops and King Kong, there'd be no Desilu)

On a less than classic episode were Lucy and company are heading to California they get stuck in "cousin Ernie's" home town. At the very begining they stop and ask a hick gas station attendant if they could get around town (he says no) that hick was Aaron Spelling, later major producer of most of 80s television like Desilu was in the 60s.

I just wondered if the Aaron Spelling studios were part of the Desilu??? I just read where Paramount bought the Desilu studios but I didn't read when. Wouldn't it be ironic if Little ol Aaron was able to buy the company!

I don't think Desilu and Aaron Spelling/Leonard Goldberg Productions were ever produced by the same company. Aaron Spelling shows were made for Columbia-Tristar (Screen Gems), and Desilu shows are now part of Paramount.
