View Full Version : Part 2 of Fonzie's Funeral is in complete because......
TVFactFan 04-05-2003, 12:39 PM Laverne, Shirley, Carmine, Lenny, and Squiggy attended Fonzie's fake funeral and never found out that he wasn't really dead in that episode. So the inconsistency is Laverne and Shirley never mentionined anything about Fonzie being alive when saw him in Part one of Shotgun wedding
Stormtracker TF 04-05-2003, 01:43 PM They probably found out after the episode and we just didn't see it. You never know what happens after those 30 minutes, or in this case 60 are over.

The viewing public was supposed to see the cast of L&S finding out the truth about Fonzie in that same episode which would have completed the story.
Moonlight Lady 04-05-2003, 02:36 PM That's one of my favorite episodes. I understand what you're saying though Solomon.
I think we should have seen them find out or at least call one of them and let em know what's going on, like Carmine, he would be the least likely to blow Fonzie's cover and then after the funeral he could've filled the others in. I would have liked to have seen that. :)

Chad22 04-05-2003, 05:26 PM They did indeed find out. Because just a few episodes after that is Shotgun Wedding part 1 and 2.

They were supposed to find out before Shotun Wedding in order for the episode to make sense. So if L&S left Fonzie's Funeral, they were supposed to say something to him in regards to the funeral in Shotgun wedding-Not act like it never happened.

Well Thats True. I Guess it would have made more sence if they mentioned it on air. But at least with Shotgun Wedding we did fin out they knew hes alive. Would be stupid to keep going on as if they didnt know.

¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 04-06-2003, 12:57 AM Im with TF- you never know how they go about after the 30 minutes! Although, I wouldve loved to see Lenny & Squiggy find out he was alive!

You all bring up good points, but is it possible that they moved to california before they had the chance to find out. After all "Fonzie's Funeral" is the last of the L&S crossovers.:bash:

WRONG!-The last L&S crossover was Shotgun Wedding-NOT Fonzie's Funeral
I just wanted to ask more info about "Shotgun Wedding" since i've only started watching the show relatively recently.
I just guessed that "Fonzie's Funeral
" was the last crossover because someone mentioned the last crossover was in 1979 & FF was the season premiere of the 79 season.

Fonzie's Funeral was aired in the spring of 1979 and Shotgun Wedding was aired in the Fall of 1979. FF was part of 78-79 season and Shotgun wedding was part of the 79-80 season.
You know who... (Jennifer Jerome) was in it. :livid: :angryfire :boxing:  :cuss: :yousuck:
:censored: :soapbox: :argue:
Dr. Thong 06-28-2004, 04:41 PM Keep in mind that the L&S were filming their own show at the same time and it was probably tough enough to take the time to make the HD appearance, considering all the turmoil they had on that set.
I never worried about Laverne & Shirley & co finding out: I'm sure Fonzie told Laverne in his own special way...if you get my drift!
wayne 06-29-2004, 03:27 AM I think the cast of Laverne & Shirley must have either known or suspected that Fonzie was really alive. If you look closely, one of the scenes has the gang taking a second glance at "widow Fonzeralli" who waves at them. Perhaps they figured out that the funeral was a make believe one, after all, Fonz couldn't let the Candyman know he was alive, remember he survived the blast at Fonzies garage.
Bush in 2004!
