You never hear stories about that anymore. What happened? Did they ever solve the mystery behind it?

And what about Bigfoot, dammit? We can put people in space, but we can't catch a big hairy man/thing right here on earth.

I don't think they solved the mystery behind the Bermuda Triangle; I think people got tired of hearing about it because there's no proof toward its existence. I believe it exists, though...don't ask me why.

I'm not so sure about Bigfoot existing. Sure, a lot of people have seen him and/or his footprints, but he's not exactly inconspicuous. How could he escape being caught?

I thought the mystery of Bigfoot was solved. I was watching this one program on Discovery where they interviewed one family that claimed that their father, who recently passed away, was the one who made those tracks in the Northwest. They were from California and they said that they didn't want to let out the secret until their father died. Is this true at all? Because I swear I saw this about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure if it was Discovery, but I don't have any other channels besides PBS that could have made such a thing.

Yeah, I heard that too.
Also, I saw on some program the infamous bigfoot sighting caught on film was a big hoax staged by the documentary company that made the orignal Bigfoot movie in the 70's that was narrated by Peter Graves.

Still holding out on the Loch Ness Monster though...

Maybe we can force Mossopp to go up to Loch Ness and have her search for it. If she comes back alive and without any evidence, we'll know! And I know she'd sacrifice her life for a few people on her favorite message board. ;)

I was talking to my buddy Steve Austin the other day and he claims that Bigfoot is no hoax and is just a misunderstood guy who really has a good heart.

Of course Steve also brags he can run 60 miles an hour and jump onto roofs from ground level and has met aliens personally.

So you gotta consider the source I guess.

I saw that show called World's Greatest Hoax, can't remember what channel it was though. I saw the part about the Loch Ness Monster, which interests me, but I missed the part about Big Foot. :(

Don't know about the Bermuda Triangle other than what I've heard on "Elvis Is Everywhere" by Mojo Nixon, but I've heard that
Bigfoot is a hoax, and that the Loch Ness Monster is actually a bunch of gas bubbles from beneath the lake, but I'm not sure about other mysteries such as Stonehenge, who built the pyramids, UFOs, Justin Timberlake's talent, etc.

Well as far as the Loch Ness monster goes, this famous photo was discovered to be a fake. It only came to be known as such just a few years ago. Apparently, it was a miniature, battery operated toy, taken at *just* the right angle & amount of lighting. They showed a replica of it on some show. The family (or friend) of the guy who did it came out. Kinda like the people & that Bigfoot film. (Roger Patterson, 1967)

It sucks that these great myths and legends like Bigfoot and Loch Ness Monster have recently been revealed as hoaxes.
I was really pissed to learn that famous Loch Ness Monster photo was just a dressed up kids toy.
I felt like a kid learning the truth about Santa Claus.

Good thing the Easter Bunny is still real!

Yeah, it's a huge long lake in the eastern part of Scotland near Inverness (not to be confused with Loch Lomond). You can find it on any map.

The man who confessed to making Bigfoot prints was talking about those done in 1958. From what I've read, he was in no way connected to the 1967 Roger Patterson film. Last I've heard, that film still has not been proven to be a fake. Bigfoot lives!
Another thing funny about the Bigfoot mystery... years ago, the state of Oregon passed a law making it illegal to shoot/kill a Bigfoot. Why would they pass a law on something that doesn't exist?
It would be great if someone either finds and captures (how?) a Bigfoot, or a clear, sharp video is taken of one.

Anyone interested in Sirens and Mermaids? I find them as interesting as Loch Ness and Bigfoot.
