View Full Version : Weird Weather
Three'sCompanyrules 04-04-2003, 05:25 AM Earliar tonight we had some sevre Thunderstorms and it is still thundering out a little bit, later tonight we have a chance of snow, it is also supposed to rain/snow mix all weeekend. Earlier this week it got in the 90's here in Nebraska, and now on Friday its supposed to be in the 50's and Saturday and Sunday its supposed to be in the 30's, which from Tuesday when it hit 92 in Holdrege thast a 60 degree drop off in temperature. Then Next week its supposed to be back into the the 60's, which will be a 30 degree increase from the weekend, it can't make up its mind on what it wants to do, I hope for the sprin'summer weather to stay around, and no more winter weather. I think Nebraska has the strangest weather. So does the state you live in also experience weird weather?
ABlairican Pie 04-04-2003, 09:30 AM It was weird these past few days in Seattle, we'd get tons of sun in the morning, followed by clouds, then sun, then clouds, then rain, more sun, then heavy rain, THEN hail, then thunder, then light rain, then sun with a little rain for a r ainb ow, then back to sun with a touch of clouds. Crazy weather....

Yeah I just posted in the other thread (about the ice day) about the weather we've had on the east coast the last couple days. We've experienced every season in 72 hours, I swear. Last night felt like fall, minus the leaves. 2 days ago it was snowign so bad we had a school delay. It was so hot at work yesterday (lack of air circulation JUST LIKE SUMMER) and outside it was some 60 spring like degrees.
It's crazy. I think I'm ready for spring.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 04-04-2003, 12:23 PM Wow, I thought where I live was the only place with freaky weather changes. I swear, a few weeks ago it was about 70, and now we have no school because of the ice outside. I think it's supposed to stay crappy all week, its been cloudy and rainy...well now icy, but maybe get better the next week. I don't know lol. And just last week it was 10 degrees. It's really weird cause you don't know what to expect, if it's hot out and everyones outside like its summer or something, you know the next week it could be like winter...
Blair85 04-04-2003, 12:28 PM This has been the weirdest weather I have ever seen. Ok, Sunday & Monday it snowed a lot here and it was cold. Tuesday it heated up and the snow melted and today it's probably 70 degrees! On Monday there was a foot of snow though!
theshark8777 04-04-2003, 01:08 PM Sounds like it could be northeast Ohio, too. It likes to do that alot. They always say if you don't like Ohio weather wait an hour and it will change.
Tuesday Weld 04-04-2003, 01:14 PM The past few days, the temps have been in the 80's - too hot,too fast, for me.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 04-04-2003, 02:05 PM Like 2 days ago it was like 80...now its storming and its supposed to snow this weekend.
Moonlight Lady 04-04-2003, 04:28 PM We went from winter to spring back to winter, it's supposed to warm up next week, in the 50's by friday.
Three'sCompanyrules 04-04-2003, 05:32 PM Well now this weather is just getting odder and odder by the day, last night sevre thunderstorms, earlier this week 90 degrees, and this weekend we were supposed to have a rain/snow mix, now we are in a winter storm watch and we are supposed to get 6 to 8 inches of snow, but I can't complain Nebraska has a sevre drout and we need all the moisture we can get, but still I wish it was in the form of rain, and I really wish for summer like weather about now.

You can keep the snow. :)
JDS84 04-04-2003, 07:48 PM Here in Kentucky it has been really warm. This weather is to good to be true. Oh god I hope it dont turn cold again.
~LadyJess~ 04-04-2003, 09:29 PM "If you don't like the weather in Michigan, just wait 10 minutes." Earlier this week it was in the 70's, today it didn't get above 35 and we have winter weather advisories in effect and it's supposed to snow by Monday. The only time the weather is semi-consistent here is during the summer and it never comes quick enough.
AnaheimPMWitch 04-04-2003, 11:03 PM UGH I live in Oregon we get anything from Rain,To Hail. to sunshine it totally sucks :(
In April there's still snow here. It hasn't snowed in April since 1996. I wish the snow would go away soon. I want Spring to come soon.

Well you may not like this news then becasue the Eastern part of Nebraska and most of Western Iowa could see up to a foot of snow, I heard that on the news tonight. I live in the South Central part of the state and we are supposed to have 6 inches of snow on Sunday, then on Tuesday it is supposed to be 65.
I think Iowa can keep the snow and Nebraska will keep the rain and thunder.:)
dawsongirl 04-05-2003, 05:08 PM I just head that. :p 2-4 inches Sunday, another 3-5 Sunday night, and windy. Woopie. I sure hope it melts fast.
~LadyJess~ 04-05-2003, 09:34 PM We can get up to 6 inches of snow here in Michigan. I want it to be spring, I'm supposed to have a golf match on Tuesday and I wanna play. We already had one on Thursday cancelled. I want it to be warm and stay warm!
Moonlight Lady 04-05-2003, 10:18 PM I swear, I hate this winter crap...We're supposed to get high winds here in the Albany region tonight, then another winter storm Monday into tuesday.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 04-05-2003, 10:30 PM This year's spring...sucks.
We just had a really nasty ice storm Friday night. Lots of people are without power and it might not come on until Tuesday. We are lucky in that we have ours but our cable is out. All of the trees are covered in ice and there's lots of branches down. It was somewhat sunny today though so the trees looked really pretty and shiny. It looked like some one had just spray painted them all silver.

So how much snow did you get in Iowa? The part of Nebraska I live in got 6.74 inches of snow, but of course after 2 days it was gone, now its back in the 70's and we are going to have thunderstorms most all of next week. I remember once lasy year it did snow int he first week of May, I wish the weather would just make up its mind and stick to one season. Hopefully thats the last snow of the year now and we can concentrate on Summer weather!!:)
