I just had a question about those episodes that TVLand skips. Are any of them on the Columbia House tape set? I know that "Experience" is on the Fish tape. That's the episode where some guy plants a bomb in the squad room and Fish gets rid of it. Does anyone know of any others?

Off the top of my head, I believe doomsday (14?) is available on the columbia house set.
I gave up finding out a long time ago, the prices always go so darn high. :(

Unfotunately, that link doesn't do anything as far as getting to a list of available volumes and episodes, and Columbia House doesn't reply to e-mail requests for that information (at least my messages). Somebody tried that a long time ago.

As far as I know, there are 18 volumes (with 4 episodes each) and they are:

Barney
Chano
Fish
Yemana
Wojo
Harris
Dietrich
Levitt
Luger
The 12th Precint
It's A Drag
Working Girls
Lewd And Lascivious
Blood On The Badge
Gone Berserk
Quitting Time
Fear
The Supernatural

Of these, I'm missing the last two, and whatever else is available, but I'm not aware of. Of the ones I have, the only two episodes available that are not shown in TV Land's current rotation are: Experience, and Doomsday. Of course there's the added bonus of all the episodes being unedited.

I know this is an old post, but I have about 12 Barney Miller Columbia House Volumes in my collection and some of the episodes have been edited...The Courtesans episode on the Lewd and Lascivious is missing a few scenes and so is The Movie Part One is missing the part when Wojo is complaining about people calling and complaining about the new president (Reagan)...

But besides that, the Columbia House Tapes are still worth purchasing, since their editing jobs are not on every episodes on the Videos and they have added scenes that were not seen when Barney Miller was on Tv Land....
