I am dead serious about this!

Today around 10:15am. we had a fire drill. Just a drill. No fire. just a drill. lol. okay, then we came back inside. my class did a really poor job, so we had to go back outside and do it again. after we came back in, it was around 10:30am. Then 5 minutes after that, we HAD A FIRE IN THE CAFETIRA KITCHEN! The office secretary comes over the PA system with fright in her voice. "Students and teachers! There is a fire in the kitchen! Evacuate immediatly!" Everyone thought they were just testing us. So we went outside and walked across the street to the soccer field. I was in Math class, so me and my whole math class and my math teacher were all scatterd around with lil 1st graders. so we were all out there. and our assistant principal comes out and starts telling us the kitchen is on fire, and we are all , we already know this. and she had this 7 foot tall bullhorn that she was holding to talk to us. she looked silly! lol. anyway, we watched as the fire trucks from East End came and there was ambulances. thankfully no one was hurt and nothing was terribly damaged. but lunch was delayed 30 mintues. and my lunch is at 12:15 pm so we had to wait till quarter to 1 to eat. and the high school had to make food and bring it over to my school. it was funny sorta. but i am really over emotional. so i had a paper bag and was sitting at my desk ALL DAY breathing into the bag. OMG! it was scary! and we still have classes tomorrow. :(

My school had an electrical fire in the gym last year, but we had to hang around outside for the rest of the day before they would send us home. Nothing was even the least bit damaged...I don't know what took so long. Anyway, that is pretty scary stuff...

OMG, that's freaky! But like you can really taste the difference with burnt cafeteria food...

Just a little bit of excitement in your day, in other words.

Once someone pulled the fire alarm while I was in lunch, which sucked. When we went back in they had to check our hands to see if there was ink on them cause they must put in on there just in case that ever happens...not that any of you care...

So yeah, glad everythings OK.

OMG. I am glad that everyones ok. We have never had a fire in our school since I have been there. It burned 2 or 3 times all the way down, but the school we have now is like 25 years old so... maybe it won't ever burn... I sure hope not anyways.

Wow...that's good that no one got hurt! We had one a few years ago, and I live about two blocks away, so I walked home. We would have gotten to leave anyway, so why not? lol

Wow! I'm glad you guys are all OK. We had a chemical scare at school once too. It was nothing major though. Turned out to be rotten food.

You know what's really freaky? Okay the day of 9-11 we had a fire drill like arounf 9:15, right after the airplaens hit the buildings and it was beofre anyone even knew about the tragdy. Also, these fire drills are pre planned. isn't that weird?

I remember in 1980 when we had a gas cloud leak in Auburn, WA,
and everyone was instructed not to go outside. At first it was reported as a nuclear radiation cloud....and I was so shook up at this that I felt as if my skin was about to crawl....... Because I was into learning about foreign languages and reading a Russian dictionary, some people thought my budskies in the Kremlin were behind it.... It was right before Reagan and not too many people in Auburn were into the Russian language...It was shortly before I began correspondence with a girl in Finland...

That sounds scary. I'm glad that no-one got hurt. I've had many fire drills in my school, but I've never been through an actual fire in my life. We once had a code white happen at our school where there was a phone call to our school, but it turned out the person who made the call wasn't even in the country, so the alert was off.
