Hi, I am kind of new to this message board, so HELLO and RESPECT to all the Lucy lovers!
Well getting to the point, does anyone know anything about the agreement that Suzanne LaRusch (wonderful Lucille Ball Impersonator) and her agreement with CBS about the Lucille Ball estate? The reason I am asking is because I just landed a job as a Lucy Impersonator and I was warned that Suzanne LaRusch is going to sue all other Lucy Imprsonators. Mind you she does a wonderful job and I like her but that is like saying that there can only be one Elvis Presley to impersonate at all Conventions and Birthday Parties in the U.S. I have been studying Lucy for nine years this was my dream, please help if you can. or just put in your word in Pleeeeease!!!!! Well, that sounds kind of rude of her. I don't think such a thing as impersonations should be a monopoly, but you know how money is! Good Luck on your impersonations though!

Suzanne LaRusch sue other Lucy impersonators? Hmmmm....that doesn't sound like something she'd do. I mean, I don't know her personally (I've only met her once or twice), but I don't see her doing that. Where did you hear this from, if you don't mind my asking?

I think, hopefully, this might be a little muddled. Lucille Ball impersonators need to be 'registered' (sorry, lack of a better word) with Desilu, too, for any profit involving impersonation of Lucille Ball or the Lucy character. They hold all copyrights involving the use of the likeness of Lucille Ball, and I think, Lucy (or Desi/Ricky) impersonators have to have permission or something, or else legal hallaballoo could be involved, I guess. Maybe that's what this stemmed from?

What about Diane Vincent, or the other Lucy impersonators out there? They're doing a great job and are recognised by Desilu, too, but aren't the 'Official' Lucy impersonator. After all, Suzanne can't be everywhere, http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif
