I can't tell if you are being a smart@ss or not so I will further explain.

Having been on the net for like...5 years now I know how to save pictures, how to upload pictures and how to run a website. What I dont know is where I can store a picture because I can't do it on Angelfire (no hotlinking) or how to code it for this particular message board.

I wasn't trying to be stupid. I was being serious.

Find a picture that you like, right click and click on properties and look under that address. Copy and paste the address and put it like this under the siggy space:

http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:n-DHPlrKeKEC:www.learndutch.org/postcard/downloads/gifs/cats.jpg

That is just a pic I searched for quickly. I hope something in this helps!:)

thats just a pic of a cat, so there isn't any use in anyone clicking on the link :wave:

But isn't that linking to someone else's site, which people don't normally like you to do because of bandwith and such?

That is exactly how I needed it explained, thank you as well :) But I dont want to link off someone else's site if there is another way to do it.

Sorry. Thats the only way that I know how to do. It doesn't look to me, that like when you do an image search at google, that anyone would mind if you used the pictures(or else they wouldn't have put them on there). I don't know.

Yes, that's direct linking and is very bad because it eats up bandwidth. Direct linking is a no, no and it's just not very nice. I suggest you save the pic you want and upload it to the thread called 'for everyone's siggy's' located in chit chat. Then right click, click on properties, and copy the url which is from the board and paste it in your sig with url goes here[ /img]. :wave:

*don't forget that there are no spaces between

OK, I decided that an idiot like me could use the above directions to put a picture in her siggy. Soooo, I did everything listed above...

1. I right clicked the picture.
2. I clicked on properties.
3. I copied the URL, right-clicked it, clicked Copy.
4. I went to my profile, right clicked the siggy box, and clicked Paste.
5. I put the brackets around img, with the slash in front of the last one and no spaces.

And the goddamn picture wouldn't show up. What am I doing wrong?
